A crazy thing I used to do

Posted on March 22, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
When I was growing up, I was always left to my own devices. My parents were never around and didn't have any rules for me so it is suffice to say that I turned out pretty good considering the circumstances. I had an.......click to learn what next.

Posted on March 22, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
Seeing an ENT to check my nose out. I have suffered from sinusitis for the longest time and know my nose inside out pretty much. Of late there has been a perpetual scab on my right inner nostril that bleeds every now and.......click to learn what next.

Separation anxiety at Playschool

Posted on March 21, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
Yesterday, I left T at school for an hour and a half by just walking out casually from her classroom. She bawled for a long, long time but because I only heard it, I was OK. At the end of the day, she.......click to learn what next.

I have so much money!

Posted on March 20, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
Oohlala!!! In my thirty five years of existence, I have seen how money has the power to destroy relationships, the tightest of families and the closest of friends. Yes, money can be all-empowering like water or fire, when it gets out of hand........click to learn what next.

Hypocrite Type 1

Posted on March 20, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
Hyposcrisy n The practice of professing beliefs, feelings or virtues that one does not hold or possess. Last night I perfomed my husband's worst nightmare and tuned in to Konsert Akademi Fantasia, which is our local excremental version of American Idol. OK I really.......click to learn what next.

Our first real fight – shame on me!

Posted on March 19, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
I love my daughter to bits. I really, really do. But there are days when I want to make her disappear. Such as last night. After spending two whole hours trying to get T to sleep from 8-10pm, I finally lost it. I had.......click to learn what next.

A toddler’s definition of a fight

Toddler Discipline

Posted on March 15, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
Today I went for lunch with a Doctor friend whose little girl is exactly 1 month older than T. That's two and a half years old (Gosh! Is my little girl that old now?). Mel since a baby, was the most well behaved.......click to learn what next.

Heartbroken

Posted on March 15, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
My heart crashed into a million crystal pieces when I heard of a couple whose family disowned the son because he is dating a girl not of his family's choice. Typical of Indian upper crust society, this Indian family goes by the traditional.......click to learn what next.

Mummy Cliques

Posted on March 13, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
It is interesting how different people have different ideas and perceptions of the world. The Mummy world is no different. When I first heard of XXX (a local mummy and baby group), I asked around to find out what it was and considered.......click to learn what next.

My Day

Posted on March 13, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
It started off with the Hubs being late for work as usual. As we share one car, T and I have to rush like mad fools every morning that we want the car, to send the Hubs to work. Otherwise, no car. He.......click to learn what next.

Shut Down

Posted on March 12, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
"Shut Down Now!! Mummy!!" That was T yelling over the last two months for the lack of attention from her mother as her mother glued herself to her faithful Dell. I worked through two whole months without an ounce of quality time for.......click to learn what next.

Are you an observer or an observee?

Posted on January 20, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
Yes, I made that word up. It doesn't exist - I checked. I've noticed that some people stay in the background and are sensitive to their surroundings. They watch quietly; your bronze polished nails, your tattered bag, your scratched Chanel shoes, how you.......click to learn what next.

Protected: Putting ink to paper….keyboard to screen

Posted on January 20, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
In researching for my book (which I have been commissioned to write and because I was selected amongst local journalists, is really not a big deal to me), I have been thinking a lot of about writing. Writing styles, the use of language, expressions,.......click to learn what next.

My current favourite dish

Posted on January 20, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
It's the mackerel teriyaki set at Lake Club. I can eat 3 servings! But I'll bet it raises my sugar levels unhealthily, which explains why I get on a high whenever I order it. Bummer. Thank goodness, I am not pregnant or that.......click to learn what next.

Mamapumpkin

I love green Once upon a time, she designed buildings and interiors of corporate offices and on the rare occasion, homes. Then, she cleaned poop and became a student of a patience management course. From the drawing board as a London Architect to the realities of Motherhood, she has certainly learned many lessons in humility. And then others.....

To succeed in the corporate world, first succeed with your kid as the happy boss. Seriously.

Fast forward 20 years later, Mamapumpkin has retired her husband from full time employment, living on passive income and abundance and has never felt so happy and fulfilled in her whole entire life. She now realises that all the pain and setbacks, the cruelty and the evil, which seriously nobody has to endure, was her stepping stone to where she now is and who she has become.

She has no regrets and would walk exactly the same path if given the chance again.

I love green

This blog is about Mamapumpkin: A strong, kick-ass Mom who worked full time juggling several jobs - the full-time paid job, the raising of her 2 kids (she gets paid in kind for this) and the volunteering job for various charity organisations and parenting websites. Needless to say, she got very little sleep (3-5 hours per day, Margaret Thatcher who used to sleep 4 hours per day during her conservative career inspires this crazy lifestyle).

Mamapumpkin intended to change the working Mom landscape in Malaysia where working women could bring their children to the corporate office of a client and not be frowned upon.

Today, she wants to show all women that if she can, YOU TOO CAN. She will guide you if you need that guidance. She will lend you that belief if you don't yet have it. She will show you every step of the way how you can do it. Her next decade is about raising the lives of as many families as she can.

I love green

Mamapumpkin writes about anything that comes out of her head but mostly seeks to inspire and share about all things that will bring benefits to others from her knowledge and experience.

Her 2 girls used to drive her towards challenge after challenge, 24/7.....day after day.....and interestingly, in her past life before her awakening, her parents were Muslim, her in-laws Buddhist, she was a Catholic and her Hubs, an Atheist. She's thinking her kids should be Hindu, just to complete the rainbow religion cycle.

Today, she believes in ONE GOD and HE overpowers ALL RELIGION because religion is really Man's interpretation of the downloads. She however, has had an incredible experience with GOD. That formless substance, that Creator, that omnipresent highest form of energy, the ALL, the Spirit, and many more labels humans have called Him.

Gotta love it.

She'd love to hear from you : Mamapumpkin at gmail dot com
