Childhood Reminiscence

Posted on April 21, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
I love being a Mother. I listened to the Sound of Music every milli-second I was on the road today. It's funny how when I was a little girl, the movie didn't have such a big impact on me as other childhood movies did........click to learn what next.

Handphone relationships

Posted on April 17, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
Our dependence on technology is astonishing. Twenty years ago, a handful of KL-lites had a mobile phone. You know those large black ATUR hand carry sets that double up as weapons? Today, everyone has a handphone. Six year old children, maids, the bus.......click to learn what next.

MILK rejection in toddlers

Little T has decided that she is now a big girl and no longer needs her milk. My mother and grandmother had always stressed from Day One that milk was very important for babies and children. They warned me not to take away.......click to learn what next.

Posted on April 17, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
It was a scorching afternoon with a hungry toddler in the car. I followed at 5 kilometres per hour, a big guy (Jack Nicholson with an extra foot) pushing his golf cart to his car and parked mine twenty feet away from him with my.......click to learn what next.

A scene from LA Law

Posted on April 17, 2007October 20, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
Bring it on, I say. I am currently in the process of taking legal action against a public relations company who tried pulling a fast one with me over a writing assignment. I never in my wildest dreams imagined that I'd be entangled.......click to learn what next.

Don’t pretend you didn’t see me?!

Posted on April 17, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
You know the feeling. That when you are out in public minding your own business, doing your own thing, when suddenly you catch a glimpse of somebody you know. And that same person's eyes dart away the moment your both eyes meet in.......click to learn what next.

Slithery Snakes

Posted on April 16, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
While putting on shoes for school today, T stuns her father. "Daddy, when you have more money can you please buy me a snake?" Shocked and at the same time drowned with killer curiousity as to what his precious daughter might want with a snake.......click to learn what next.

T has settled really well at school after 7 days. I owe it to her teachers, all British and Australian graduates in Masters of Education and Child Psychology; all well travelled. I expected her to take a whole month to get used to.......click to learn what next.

I asked T's grandmother today if she had been teaching T about Mr Visa or Mrs Amex. Negative. Then she quipped that T needed no explanation as she was a natural information baby magnet. (*Note to self - no more bitching about anything.......click to learn what next.

Mamapumpkin

I love green Once upon a time, she designed buildings and interiors of corporate offices and on the rare occasion, homes. Then, she cleaned poop and became a student of a patience management course. From the drawing board as a London Architect to the realities of Motherhood, she has certainly learned many lessons in humility. And then others.....

To succeed in the corporate world, first succeed with your kid as the happy boss. Seriously.

Fast forward 20 years later, Mamapumpkin has retired her husband from full time employment, living on passive income and abundance and has never felt so happy and fulfilled in her whole entire life. She now realises that all the pain and setbacks, the cruelty and the evil, which seriously nobody has to endure, was her stepping stone to where she now is and who she has become.

She has no regrets and would walk exactly the same path if given the chance again.

I love green

This blog is about Mamapumpkin: A strong, kick-ass Mom who worked full time juggling several jobs - the full-time paid job, the raising of her 2 kids (she gets paid in kind for this) and the volunteering job for various charity organisations and parenting websites. Needless to say, she got very little sleep (3-5 hours per day, Margaret Thatcher who used to sleep 4 hours per day during her conservative career inspires this crazy lifestyle).

Mamapumpkin intended to change the working Mom landscape in Malaysia where working women could bring their children to the corporate office of a client and not be frowned upon.

Today, she wants to show all women that if she can, YOU TOO CAN. She will guide you if you need that guidance. She will lend you that belief if you don't yet have it. She will show you every step of the way how you can do it. Her next decade is about raising the lives of as many families as she can.

I love green

Mamapumpkin writes about anything that comes out of her head but mostly seeks to inspire and share about all things that will bring benefits to others from her knowledge and experience.

Her 2 girls used to drive her towards challenge after challenge, 24/7.....day after day.....and interestingly, in her past life before her awakening, her parents were Muslim, her in-laws Buddhist, she was a Catholic and her Hubs, an Atheist. She's thinking her kids should be Hindu, just to complete the rainbow religion cycle.

Today, she believes in ONE GOD and HE overpowers ALL RELIGION because religion is really Man's interpretation of the downloads. She however, has had an incredible experience with GOD. That formless substance, that Creator, that omnipresent highest form of energy, the ALL, the Spirit, and many more labels humans have called Him.

Gotta love it.

She'd love to hear from you : Mamapumpkin at gmail dot com
