7 year old English exam
Recently my little one returned with her English exam papers and whilst reviewing it, we had the biggest laugh. Why? See the question below:
What makes Janice sneeze?
Options were Pollen, Cars, and Window Sills
She circled window sills…..
She did not understand what a window sill was nor pollen and in the comprehension passage, it writes those two words in the same sentence.
It is obvious she is not the voracious reader in this household.
But her big sister, the 12 year old genius, started taking the piss:
Poor Janice!! She’s going to have to live her whole life in 4 brick walls without windows!!
T2, can you go to the window? I want to see if you have the same allergy as Janice.
This means she cannot look out the car window to enjoy the view like us.
Does one go to the carpenter or the allergy Doctor to treat a window sill allergy?
At which point I told her to stop. But heck, I was laughing like crazy too uncontrollably because it was just too hilarious. It also prompted me to spend more time with her on her English.
Poor T2. I hope this incident encourages her to reorganise her priorities.
