Why blog? Despite how busy I am although admittedly, work stress will lessen soon once another new employee comes on board since I have been doing everything myself for the last 2+ years, it is really a blessing to be able to finally breathe; I still make an effort to blog even if it is once a month or less. Why?

Why blog? I remind myself that it is a journal of the kids. Up to now, they both still love reading my blog about their past, learning about their parents and the things that happen around us, and the joy that they get out of seeing their old baby pictures and reading about themselves is just too amazing to give up. Not until the day that T1 tells me, OK Mom, please stop sharing my life with the rest of the world, only then will I shift the focus of this blog.

Why blog? It earns me good pocket money too for doing nothing. I should earn more but because this is not a priority, I do nothing about making it earn more yet I’m still happy to open my PAYPAL every month to see US Dollars resting there just from me writing from my heart. Awesome habit. It is my residual niche income. Instead of using it, I should really open a separate bank account from it to see how much I can save till I retire from blogging. In the past, I’ve always used the blog money for SHOPPING!!! I wonder if I’ve made more than RM100,000 by now, quite possible, but too lazy to go and count. Right now, I average RM1,500 per month. In the hey days, I was doing RM12,000 per month. Sigh……Unfortunately, work pays much more so what I love to do will have to take a back seat for now even though I keep telling myself that hey, if I actually quit my job and put in all my efforts into blogging, just maybe……maybe…..I could churn in the same amount? Who knows, eh?

Why blog? It is a stress reliever. An outlet. A place to vent. A place to speak my mind. A place to release words into cyberworld, release anger, emotions, love, whatever……it is extremely therapeutic writing although I am not the best writer but who cares! It makes ME feel better.

Why blog? I get to share. I love sharing. It makes the world a better place. If I come across something good, I want to share it, not like those crazy stingy kiasu people who only want to keep things for themselves. No, not with me. I truly believe that good things are for sharing. If it is material, heck, it’s only money. It is much more difficult for me to share my time as I already have so little of it so what little time I have, I save for my kids and family. And it is very little. Too little.

Why blog? So friends and family abroad can stay in touch with us without me having to write to every single one of them. It is nice for them to check in every once in awhile just to see how far the girls have grown or what’s new in our lives etc.

Why I blog? Because it makes people happy. Seriously, I have been told personally how this blog have helped them by more than a dozen separate women. OK, admittedly, no man has told me that! But heck, if I could help even a cat, I’m happy. In whatever way, it brings a smile to my heart whenever I know that someone out there has benefited from this blog.

Why blog? Quite simply, because I love it. It is an expression of me. It is a documentation of how I have evolved as a woman, mother, wife, daughter, friend, leader.

Would you like to start a blog? There are millions of blogs out there but you are you and if you think you want to give it a go and that it could be your thing, just start. Don’t think. Just do it. Why blog? You might have different reasons from me, but this is why I blog.
