Throughout all her little years at school, Tee could wear whatever the hell she wanted to school to protect her large baby feet but not this year. This year, we had to get her proper white school shoes. I asked around to find out where to buy school shoes from since Tee has much smaller feet than a normal Standard One pupil (she’s only 5 years old and 3 months) and was told that the Bata school shoes won’t fit her and that I could only get branded shoes to fit her. Hrmph. Nike or Adidas? That would mean more than RM100.
So I sent the Hubs out hunting for white school shoes and lo and behold, he found a cheap pair (albeit a wee bit big, but who cares…..she’ll grow into them) that cost RM12.90. I kid you not. They’re really cute as well and she loves them! She wore them everyday at home before school actually started because she was so proud that she was going to start big school.
We didn’t need RM100 shoes after all. Yay!!!
When Nana heard, she set her mind to getting her some PROPER shoes. She couldn’t accept that her precious princess was wearing cheap RM12.90 shoes and scolded the Hubs for buying shoes that didn’t fit perfectly. We were all up in arms against Nana trying to convince her that as long as we don’t say anything to Tee, she is very happy with her new cheap shoes!!! The Hubs said that at least she had the 2nd cheapest pair of shoes, not the cheapest available……and made Nana swear to keep quiet.
So these are her cheap school shoes. They’re not bad at all. I’m not sure how long they’ll last but even if we have to use 4 pairs this year, that’s still cheaper than RM100!!!
So if you want this pair of cheap school shoes, head on down to TESCO. Lalalalalalala………

hehe, i got my girl the cheapest one at tesco too! RM4.90! :D…i saw a nicer one at around RM18 but she wanted the cheapest one so we let her be.
it really doesnt make sense to buy branded ones coz they would probably only last a year the most.
i got the RM4.90 too from Tesco for my 4yo (kindy) but when paying time, it was only RM4.50.
i didnt see the one your Tee wearing…very nice for RM12.90. if i see, i’d buy for my 7yo.
btw…in KL can go Primary One at 6yo?
The shoes are so pretty! =)
