I’ve recently come into some spare cash that I made myself thus can choose to use it whichever way I might. At first, I thought of doing some frivolous shopping (again!) in the form of a new handbag or some new crockery for my kitchen but a dear friend suggested that I should invest the money instead, either buy some stocks or get some insurance that will cover Tee’s education or our health and hospital bills.

This made me think and I realised he was right. I really should spend the money on something more useful whilst I had it. So I got down to researching (old habit of mine) and learnt how I could compare car insurance companies, researched home insurance prices and found by chance that they even had pet insurance! Well, it makes sense because those of you with pets will know how expensive veterinarians are these days!

We also need to insure our home as I have jewellery stashed away plus we have expensive equipment all over the place. Much better to be safe than sorry. I know I wouldn’t be needing pet insurance (haha!) but I will be needing car insurance once I get my new car.

We currently have life insurances, personal accident insurance and an endowment policy plus some unit trusts. I am also planning to break my fixed deposits to invest better in this quest for making our money grow.
