What Agama teachers say to their students

Recently, my 14 year old cousin told me of just 2 incidents where her Agama teacher (Religious teacher: she is Muslim, you see, so forced to take Agama classes in school) said things to her that were just totally absurd. I shan’t mention her school because I feel all schools have good and bad as all countries, and in any case, these were 2 Agama teachers in a local Government school AND a local private school.

Teacher 1 : If you don’t wear a ‘tudung’ (head scarf), Satan (the devil) will shit on your head.

Teacher 2 : Your shorts and your butt will burn in hell!! (when my cousin was doing PE in shorts that were apparently too short, i.e. they didn’t reach her knees, not butt showing….)

Can you believe it? What the hell is going on in our Education system? Where the hell do these Agama teachers come from???

I feel so sorry for the Muslims in our country. It is a beautiful religion as all religions are, but in Malaysia, the Muslim teachings are just a LITTLE bit OFF. It frigging infuriates me!! Can you imagine all those village girls being brainwashed by their Agama teachers? No wonder their heads are always funny from tying the head scarf too tight or whatever causes them to think strangely. I’m generalising, of course, but really, if you picked a hundred girls who have been brainwashed in Agama class, I would say 99 of them have strange thoughts in their heads.

  1. omg!! That’s soo absurd! When I was in school, we were lucky enough to have our Agama Teachers, both male and female, very understanding, accepting and open-minded eventhough they’re really religious.

It’s sad to see statements like those coming out from fellow Muslims who claim to be religious scholars. So ajaran sesat if I may say so myself.

  2. Damn (oops) shame!

That’s sad to hear the teacher’s saying all that. They were probably told the same thing when they were growing up.

    The cycle never ends.
