Trudy and Teddy at Pavilion

We attended the launch of a new store recently at The Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur’s most successful shopping mall, called Trudy and Teddy. I’m not sure if Trudy and Teddy are names of kids, teddy bears or the owners but anyway, it’s a store filled with purity and innocence. The whole mood and feel of the store was baby…….Baby……….BABYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Almost made me feel like having another. *slaps self*

Allow me to let the photos do most of the talking

We were greeted at the Reception and offered a Goody Bag that had a cash voucher (YIPPEE!) and a hard cover baby’s book! How awesome is that! I was totally sold already. The book was called YOUR DRESSING GUIDE and it taught toddlers all about FASHION. Smart marketing strategy or what??

Inside it wrote,

Page 2: Can you count how many shirts here? He is wearing a SHIRT.

Page 3: What color is he wearing? He is wearing a RED T-Shirt.

The English needed some proofreading though……..I’m sorry, I’m anal. But seriously, 200% for effort and 250% for ideas.

Here it is, Trudy and Teddy – beautiful clothes for special boys and girls aged 0 to 6.

They have a beautiful store. The only problem was they had too much lighting, it was SO HOT in there.

See? Can you see the lighting? The Interior Designer they had was fabulous. She’d done an amazing job with the store, all the detailings are just beautiful; but any architect will tell you that the store is over-designed with lighting.

Hmm….I wonder who approved their boutique design? Must be some Pavilion architect who was sleeping…..

Just LOOK!!!

Doesn’t it all spell Elegance and Class?

They even had a cot which was very clever so customers know they sell baby bed linen.

I just loved the detailing at the Reception. Look at the ceiling??

And look! They had a huge jar of marshmallows!!!

We were deciding if we should steal some!!! And I was hoping T2 wouldn’t spot them because she is so much a fan of marshmallows…….thankfully, she was too short, haha.

And what did they sell? Good quality fashion for boys and girls with a certain style.

Shoes……shoes…….shoes………

Boy belts and braces/suspenders!!! For little boys, really! So cute!

Mommies of boys, take note. If you’re looking for your boy to look smart with a bow tie, here they are! Weddings….photo shoots……concerts…….or just for play!

Socks were all packaged so you really got the cleanest, and I mean, the cleanest of socks.

If you’re looking for smart boy clothes, now you know where to go.

Funnily, all Trudy and Teddy staff were dressed in muted shades of white, cream and off whites with some light khakis and because I wore a white top and beige pants, I totally fitted in!

I just loved this shot of us………..in front of the flowers. Every time I see flowers, I think of my mother. One day, I’m going to fill her entire home with flowers!!!

We bumped into Shelley, whose elder daughters went to the same school as T1. All Shelley’s daughters have been models for this company at one point or another. We tried but they did not want our Cina Apek faces.

Shelley is also a gourmet pastry chef and does wonderful party finger food and gorgeous cakes. Hey! Maybe she catered for this event! Forgot to ask if she did…..here, she’s checking out the little tartlets.

There’s a cute story to tell. All the Trudy and Teddy Ambassadors (including Zara, Shelley’s girl) were waiting behind the ribbon for the ribbon cutting ceremony and the moment they gave the kids their white rounded edged scissors, the little boy in the tux went SNIP!

……before it was time to snip. Haha….so they had to manually hold the ribbon up again.

After all the official pleasantries, we proceeded to what we do best – shop! I liked this brown and white polka dotted dress (on right) and tried to get T2 to like it but she kept saying no. *sigh*

She ended up choosing 3 dresses to try on and I warned her that she was only getting one! Unfortunately, they didn’t have T1’s size or I would have gotten her a dress to so I got my childhood friend who just gave birth a dress instead. T2 liked the cream dress but didn’t like the black and bronze dress.

The pink dress was the clear winner though……..can you tell? Look at her admiring herself below!!!

The dressing room had these cool iron cast little furniture that were just the right size for these tots! Loved it.

After trying on her pink dress, she liked it so much, she didn’t want to wear her self put jeans outfit any longer. She walked out of the dressing room casually as though the dress was already hers!

This is my new simple pink pretty dress!

When we left, there were still a fair bit of people shopping……go check it out. Trudy and Teddy are located on the 5th Floor at a corner, just by the escalators on the circular section of Pavilion.

We then went to have a quick Italian lunch with Daddy……..

And after her shower that same day, she insisted on wearing back her pink dress! Aiyo……

I don’t fight with her over things like that. Too much effort. But look at her? She wears a pretty pink dress but pretends to be a monster. Actually, what am I saying? She IS a monster!!!

So will someone tell me who Trudy and Teddy are???
