Their First Church Wedding

This morning, we had a family Church wedding at SFX on Jalan Gasing and initially, the plan was for me to attend it with T1 and the Hubs would stay home with T2. Reason being, he arrived home after midnight from a delayed flight and the last thing he wanted to do was to get up early after a whole day in Singapore. I did that last month and although I arrived back at 9pm, I was dead beat.

However, after T1 and I got dressed this morning, baby monkey INSISTED that she wanted to go to ‘chech’ but the last thing I wanted to do was to bring HER along to Church. The girl has NEVER been to Church and she’d only get bored and cause a ruckus. Furthermore, the Hubs was still enjoying his slumber and this was a family wedding from my part of the family that I wanted to enjoy, not babysit.

After 5 minutes of jumping up and down pleading, “Mama, I want go Chech! Pease, Mama! I want go Chech! May I pease go Chech? Mama? I want go Chech. May I pease go Chech???” I gave in. OK.

“YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

She threw her fists in the air as though she was the champion of the world and ran to her bedroom to pick out a dress. I then started changing her ‘loudly’ so that the Hubs would get the hint that baby monkey was coming along with me whilst hoping he would be clever enough to pull himself out of bed.

When we were almost ready, I’d heard him already in the wash room so I sent T1 to ask him politely and gently if he was coming with us. She came back out with a yes. Hallelujah! I sent T1 back again to him to whisper, thank you……...

Off we traipsed to Church after not having visited for years. T2 was amazingly well behaved as she kept herself busy walking up and down the ‘what do you call that deck where you kneel’? And she also kept lining up the little wedding booklets forming one long train…..from one end to another of the Church bench.

After the ceremony, there was a quick reception outside the Church before we adjourned to the house for the tea ceremony. My T1 sat quietly to have a bite:

.

My T2 couldn’t stop moving walking upstairs and downstairs. Only 328 times.

.

And as usual, nobody ever bothers to take any pictures of Mama…….so the only pic I got was from T2 of my balding head.

Weddings…..I love weddings!
