The Formula for Success
It’s so simple yet not everyone gets it because there is always one part of the equation that gets left out either intentionally or mistakenly.
I am grateful for having successful mentors around me since I was as young as a wee girl and have learnt plenty throughout the years following, observing, testing, and actual doing. You have to do the work. If you don’t get your hands dirty then how will you ever learn? It’s one thing to know the theory of driving a car, it’s another to actually drive it and another still to know when and how hard to push the accelerators and release the handbrakes at the exact moments of purpose. This takes years of skill and practice.
Practice, practice, practice.
Ask, ask, ask and ask again and again.
1. Dream Big
Many people don’t have dreams that are big enough and because of that, they are not pushed sufficiently to get themselves there. Women feel they deserve the life that has been handed out to them and will allow their limiting beliefs to block their growth. On the flip side, some have such big dreams until they get ruthless when they start getting impatient and their results don’t satisfy their cravings. It is fabulous to have the biggest dreams ever but always, always remember your roots. Be grateful for everything. That cleaner you snubbed 10 years ago? She could be your biggest customer tomorrow. True story. Stop prying into people’s lives to check if they have money or not to be your potential customer. Just learn how to be honest already.
2. Work Hard
Many people want a piece of the pie but are not willing to go out to buy the ingredients, find the recipe, follow the instructions and bake it. And then keep repeating that entire process over and over and over until they get THAT perfect pie. They are hoping that someone else would just bake it for them so they could eat it. This isn’t how it works. Any fast success would come crashing down just as fast. There is no sustainability when there is no real business. It’s like playing the stock market with paper shares and you have money on paper. Paper can get burnt at anytime. Companies have come crashing down from all sorts of reasons but a solid one built with a great foundation would stand strong and be resilient a lot more than one built on words and market sentiments. Playing on peoples emotions to make money, is that really how you would like to make money? Not me.
3. Stay Focused
Many people have no patience. They want short cuts and think there are quick ways to make money. If there really was, show it to me and show me the success with sustainability. Because when people have no real patience, they lose focus and flit around experimenting with various opportunities with no real focus. It takes 2-3 years to just break even in a conventional business and that is if you were lucky. Honestly, what other faster ways are there to make money in a secure and sustainable way apart from staying focused and growing one business the right way? And that is with honesty and integrity because lies will only carry you so far and will bounce back to hit you. Don’t go there ever. EVER.
4. Be around Good People
When you have a tribe of people with good energy, you feel it, you radiate it, you live it!!! No mountain is too high, no river is too wide and as a group, no matter how small or big, when there is trust and genuine sincerity amongst the organisation, you’re like family. Maybe even closer than family. Everyone has a talent, everyone is special, nobody gets left behind. There are no threats for performance, just encouragement for everyone to be their best selves FOR themselves!! And to that, I am so very blessed. Because for any person who does not feel our vibe in our tribe, I kiss them farewell with blessings. We know what we want and we know what type of people we want. Anyone with lesser values are free to leave. My tribe get it. We get it. We have a clear mission of changing the world and are already doing it. Not just talking about it or starting to pretend to do it. No. We have been doing it since forever. Results don’t lie.
