What many people fail to realise is that I am a stay-at-home-Mom without help. This means that in the course of my day, I spend about 2 hours tied down with a baby attached to my boob and to save time, I try to read my emails during this time. I have SO MANY EMAILS that I never get round to all of it in a day, so if you send me an email and have been ignored, please be patient. I will get to you eventually. Otherwise, please send me another. I have been known to overlook emails.
Secondly, I am also the driver, the cleaner, the chef, the entertainer, the home tuition tutor, the carer and the toy mechanic (every time a toy stops working, “MOM!!!”); on top of being the stay-at-home-Mom who’s trying to make a side income.
On top of THAT, I get smses from random beings asking if I’d like to go here and there, or if this is this or if that is that and if ladidadida……really, it takes me almost 1 day to respond to smses. People who are Moms will understand but those who are not? They just don’t.
Today has been a very busy day with tons of enquiries about all the toys for sale. Every time I post stuff up for sale, the next few days are super busy. I should really pre-plan these sale days. *sigh*
Baby T2 had another accident today. I was feeding her some oatmeal this morning whilst she stood against the couch and suddenly, DONG-BOINK-PUDABONG!!!
She had tripped over her own feet whilst standing, and knocked her head first on the very hard plastic Italian chairs that my high class daughter sits her Royal Bum on, followed by another knock on the marble floor, flat faced down.
This baby of mine, she is such a KLUTZ!!! My T1 never had a single bump on her head all her baby and toddler years and her first bump was at 5.5 years old at the skating accident last year (of which we’re still chasing for payment, it’s still at the insurance office – 6 months now and T1 has been banned by them to enter). I’m wondering if I should pad up T2’s head on a daily basis so I don’t have anymore heart attacks.
My baby, she is also learning some drama queen antics from her drama queen sister. Every time I put a shirt on for her or wipe her dry after her shower, she’ll yell, “Owwww…..Owwww….” In that light, I don’t have time to fight with her……..so she fights NINJA with her sister instead. The naked baby ninja…..
And I discovered today that baby T2 knows how to roll her tongue!!! I was told that you are either born with it, or not, and T2 is certainly a natural. Amazingly though, T1 couldn’t roll her tongue for the longest time (father’s genes) but she was persistent in practising and by golly, she can actually roll her tongue as of 6 years old! Well, her school tagline is…. NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE!!!
Today, whilst singing You Are My Sunshine to T2 rocking her, T1 asked, “Am I also your sunshine? Or am I your Thunderstorm?” T1 is way funny like that. I love her to bits.
Also today, T2 got frigging mad when she opened the fridge to discover that there was no more chocolate milk inside. No more!! HER chocolate milk!!! So she kept pointing to the white box of normal milk and said she wanted that instead but I told her that it wasn’t chocolate milk. She kept insisting she wanted it anyway, so I opened the box for her and within her first 2 sips, got really angry because it WASN’T chocolate milk!!! *note to self : stock up on chocolate milk*
A blessed Mom (and bless her truly, dear God) brought 2 cartons, that is 12 boxes, of chocolate milk for us today at school!!! AND, she brought me curry puffs and vade (how did she guess I hadn’t yet had lunch?), and she brought a tin of Muruku. Isn’t it amazing how things just have a way of falling into place sometimes? It’s almost like God sent her. I was really starving whilst doing the school run (hadn’t had time to eat anything earlier) but she appeared with all the goodies. BLESS!
Because I have been really busy, this is what the kids had for dinner. Hard boiled eggs with steamed brocolli and soya sauce. This does not happen every day although how I wish.
There is no reason for this post other than to give you a break from all the toys I am about to upload tonight and bore you to death with, but thank you to all of you who have supported and are helping me DE-CLUTTER my home. It is the only way I can have a successful system going without a maid and I intend to get there because I am also a working Mom. One that earns real money.
See? I’m slowly packing the toys that are due to leave our humble home soon. Excited.
A work-from-home-Mom. That means Mommy work first, money work second. All in all, still bloody work.
