Recently, Tee found an antique coin that I had kept from my great grandfather’s mansion in Teluk Intan which had a square hole in it. She was so fascinated that a coin had a hole in it and insisted on wearing it as a pendant. So I got a string out and strung it through and she happily wore it all day. Ever since, she has taken a keener interest in coins, being more observant in its design and make, studying the coins of different countries. With her interest in coins, perhaps I should start a rare coin collection on her behalf because who knows what those coins would be worth one fine day. I’ll need to put that on my list of things to do – research a good rare coin dealer for Tee’s education and hopefully windfall!
