HAPPY BIRTHDAY T2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A friend asked me the other day if I had brought T2 out to celebrate her birthday and for the life of me, I couldn’t even remember!!! But surely I must have, right? So I said, yeah sure…..we did. And then she asked if we had a cake? I swear to God, I had no clue because my memory bank was blank. Zero. I could not visualise the cake at all but yet again I said, yeah….yeah……we had a cake. But I had absolutely no idea what cake! Am I a terrible Mom or what????

So after scouring back the old photos from the camera, there is evidence! Albeit a crappy picture of her birthday, poor T2. Remind me to hire a professional photographer for future captures! But yes! There was a cake! And we did go out!

Oh, gosh.

I am really overworked and tired and going mad.

We had a gorgeous cake in fact which was just perfect. Not too big, not too sweet. Perfect. And we went somewhere special. Somewhere where we as a family always go for dinner at our neighbourhood Italiana ristorante.

T2 was so shy when the staff brought the cake out singing to her that she covered her face the entire time and refused to show it. She didn’t even blow her own candles!!! She was just completely overwhelmed as this was her first public birthday ever and she was not expecting such an audience. Well, always a first…..

I blew the candles for her whilst pretending that she’d actually blown them (hey, I’m on my way to becoming a ventriloquist – alternative night job?) and made a wish on her behalf too.

And where was my dearest T1? Busy with something else obviously. Sigh. I really need to plan these things better.

We had another school party with home baked midnight cup cakes but I’ll save that for another post.

Anyway, Happy Birthday Darling T2. We love you more than you ever know.
