Well, I would like to think I am one. Actually, I know I am one. My kids may have other ideas…..Go ask them!!! Oh, actually…..after you read this post, you will know I’m not one.
To be one, I believe that every Mom, no matter how little she has of time, should make SOME time to fuel her passion. Or have a little chill pill by making a date with laughter. Whether this is a once in a fortnight affair or once in two to three months, do whatever you’re comfortable with, but you must, must, MUST make time out WITHOUT the kid(s). Just as you must make time with your husband (this one maybe once in 6 months? LOL).
Last Friday, I met up with my old school mates because one of them had returned from Canada for a holiday. After starting off my Friday with a GREAT group of goons/g-spot girls/gorgeous gerberas/*fill in the blanks!*, I had already had my fix and was content to last another oh, who knows…..2 weeks before I got restless again? But I’d already promised my mates that I’d travel all the way to Sunway P (somewhere I never, NEVER venture despite my old design firm designing the building) even though they’d already offered to provide me limousine services in the form of transport and a cool, blasting time.
Honestly, the thought of sitting in peak hour traffic on a Friday from my home to Sunway (something like from here to the moon) was least appealing and unless a private jet was hired, I was beginning to start thinking of excuses of how I could let go of the aeroplane (fong fei kei) despite feeling REALLY bad that I wasn’t making enough effort to see my old school mates. And when I heard that the 4 girls in our class (yes, it was a class full of boys with very few girls) were all NOT coming for some reason or other, I was almost SURE I wanted to fong fei kei. But I couldn’t do it. As tired as I was, as much as I knew how busy I was going to be that weekend for parties and ‘business matters’ and family commitments, I psyched myself up to go.
And boy was I glad I did.
We had an awesome Chinese dinner (one of the guys knew the owner of that dragon place) and then I was dragged into a bar called @live. Apparently the same owners of Zouk on Jalan Ampang. Anyways…….I don’t remember the last time I was in a bar. Well, I was at one in New York so that would have been 2.5 years ago?
It was LOUD, it was SMOKEY, it was CROWDED and I had an asthma attack! There was a live band with smoking hot rotating singers with skirts above their panties and bras at their panties. Low backs and stilettos, tight outfits till every silhouette became pronounced.I almost orgasmed just by being there!
Oh, did I tell you we didn’t have to pay a cover charge because my guys were regulars? So there I was, with a bunch of guys, being led into a lounge area and before I could even sit, four wine buckets banged on the table with chilled wine glasses. Like a dozen. But there were less than a dozen of us, were more people coming?
YES!
Tall, sexy, beautiful slim girls from China!!! Some even looked like transvestites. But mostly beautiful and TALL….like bamboo sticks. They carried designer handbags, high heels (why?) and had tons of make-up whilst I had thunder thighs behind jeans and a big baggy blouse on. Eek. I felt completely out of place. I was like the….the….moving statue that kind of blended into the background like a piece of furniture at the corner? I wasn’t even comparable to the waitresses or whatever you call them (the drink servers?) as they were also all sexily dressed and of average height. Oh, I really felt like Humpty Dumpty. I didn’t talk to the girls but I should have! I didn’t realise they were from China! Well, what good is that? I don’t speak the language so we might as well have left it to the lots of smiling that we did. My cheeks are still aching.
So what do people go to bars for? It seemed to me like they go looking for sex! Everyone there looked single and certainly a fat mama like me with two kids did NOT belong. OK, people go to have a good time and perhaps many of the men were already married. But it REALLY seemed like after all that, they were still looking for sex. Hee…..
I had a lot of fun people watching. And my boys, boy did they make me laugh so hard! They have not changed one bit despite being fathers and all. They are still looking at women the same way and still looking at strangers’ boobs and still being the cheeky monkeys that they used to be. I couldn’t even imagine them in the boardroom. Christ no!
But that is exactly what good friends is about. They are themselves, they CAN be themselves, because they trust you. And they complained about their wives to me. And about their kids. And they kept making me drink, but I knew better, and duped them instead. These guys are crazy! I see them once in 5 years but perhaps I should see them more often!
