Stadium Merdeka in 2011 for Justin Bieber

Stadium Merdeka in 2011 for Justin Bieber:

Today, I was forced to go to Stadium Merdeka to exchange my online purchase of Justin Bieber’s tickets for REAL tickets. Lesson learnt – don’t buy tickets from Air Asia Red Tix online, because you then have to travel to said venue to pick up the hard copy of your access to nirvana……or not. In my case, it clearly isn’t going to be because I cannot stand the look of this JB guy, just my personal preference, no offense intended. What’s up with that hair!!

But then, if you don’t get the tickets online, did you see the queue of JB fans snaking outside Bangsar Village just to get tickets???

Can you imagine me and my baby taking a trip ourselves to the iconic Stadium Merdeka in 2011 for Justin Bieber? I don’t even know how to get there and would have ended up in Cheras quite frankly, but thank Heavens for great friends, I managed to get this sorted out in record time. All for the love of T1.

Approaching the newly painted/restored historical Stadium Merdeka. Did you know that it was almost torn down in the late 90s? Can you believe it? Just like how Le Coq D’or got torn down in 2006 (can you fucking believe it?????)…..just like how they ERASED history on the Sultan Abdul Samad building……*cries*

.

The stage is all ready for the big JB concert and we noticed that it is out in the open. What if it rains??? Well, seeing how crazy these JB fans are, it’ll just be a wet JB concert! Maybe Air Asia has already hired their top Formula 1 bomoh to keep the rain away!

.

I’m happy that there is still grass and that it is green. Look at all those white plastic chairs. People who have paid hundreds will get to sit on those coffee shop chairs and still get blocked by those standing in front of them. And I’ll bet they’ll all be standing on the chairs as well!

.

As the excitement builds……

.

The private ticket collection ‘booth’ manned by two – see the stash of tickets on the far left?

.

I wonder what the electricity consumption on one of these babies would cost in a night.

.

MERDEKA!!!!!!

Welcome to Stadium Merdeka in 2011, Justin Bieber!!! *that was from T1*
