Tee and I in bed, just about to have an afternoon nap.
“Mummy, do you remember that Aunty Lynn who gave me that pwesent?”
“No? Who is Aunty Lynn? Do you mean Aunty Linda?” [I know no Aunty Lynn]
“No……Aunty Lynn, remember? She gave me that pwesent….?” [Mummy cracking her head trying to figure out who Tee means]
“What present? I’m sure you have her name wrong.”
“It’s Aunty Lynn!!! The one that gave me the pwesent!!!” [she gets frustrated, and when notices that I am losing interest in her charade…..changes the subject and continues]
“What about Uncle Emu? Do you remember we went to his house?” [By which point Mummy knows she is making up stories AGAIN]
“What Uncle Emu???!!!! [just to give her the benefit of doubt]
“We went to his house…..Uncle Emu!!”
“There is NO Uncle Emu!!! You’re making up stories!”
“Haha….I twicked you!!!” [She wriggles and giggles and finds it so hilarious. Toddlers are weird, I’m telling you]

In the shower today using a L’Occitane soap that was given to Tee by a friend. I said to the Hubs:
“Hmmm……this L’Occitane soap has lasted very long. Maybe we should go buy some more, maybe it’s worth the money. It’s really creamy…..Mmmmm…..”
[Quick as a flash, he responded] “The reason it’s lasted so long is because I’ve been using that industrial floor cleaner down there to shower everyday!”
Huh??? [….as I blurly looked at my collection of shower gels and shampoo to find what he was talking about. Of course, there was nothing.]

Coming home after dinner with my mother this evening with a whiny, tired toddler.
“WAahhhh!!!! I want my Nana…..Can I call my Nana?”
“She’s driving home right now. We’ll call her later, OK?”
“WAaahhhh!!!! I need my Nana!!! I want my Nana to come to my house!!!” [this continues the whole drive home despite us ignoring her and she does. not. stop.]
“WAaaaahhhh!!! I want my Nana!!! I love my Nana!!!!”
“Tee, do you want some chocolate?”
“OKAY!” [The flood of tears stop instantly as the eyes look around eagerly]
