Lately, my bugger of a baby has bullied me into sleeping out of her cot. Yes, OUT. Which means, she sleeps on MY bed. Which means, we don’t have enough room as we both sleep on a single bed. There is an entire history of our bed story if you care enough to look it up. It started out with a Queen (just me and the Hubs). Then we got a King (to fit T1). Then we got a single bed for the Hubs to be put beside the King (when T2 came along). And blablablabla……
So since she now demands to squeeze in with me on my tiny single mattress, I have been demoted to the floor. The floor!!! I get much better sleep on the floor on top of a couple of duvets than I do if I squeezed into the single mattress. Perhaps if it was a memory foam mattress, it would be a different story altogether!
Now we’re wondering what to do next. We might as well put the very expensive Danish cot up for sale and get another single mattress so she can have her own single and I can have mine.
