Real estate in Perth

One of my absolute favourite past times is to look at houses. Better still if I get to experience them. In fact, it is this very reason that I became an architect. And look where I am now? Cleaning poop and getting my ears burnt daily from incessant crying and screaming.

I was really born to be an architect.

Not a Mom!

Bah.

When we visited Perth, I took some photos to share…..

I just love how this guy built a silk screen with a leaf motif as a sun screen to his home doubling up as a feature wall.

His entrance gate was interesting with natural materials……

.

I liked this blank wall surrounded by shrubbery. I could just imagine it being lit at night forming its own patterns….

.

I was wondering how come the perimeter wall below goes in a curve and not maximised to form a corner like they would here. Is that his property or Government’s property? Assuming it’s Government property as why would he not maximise his own garden space, right?

.

Bungalows are so close to one another and completely open for people to touch. I’m really not used to that.

.

Bigger bungalows with more space from the neighbours….

.

Contemporary feel but nothing with an oomph.

.

Errr…..property of a drug lord? CEO?

Look at all that green in front and it overlooks the sea too….

Good for practising golf!

.

I would have loved walking into the 2 middle houses below….

.

This one looks like a mini apartment.

.

Was this part of Cottlesloe? I can’t remember….

Houses beside the sea……

.

Private fenced up house……

.

I have cousins in Perth spread out in several directions – Scarborough (where we always stay since the house is empty), Floreat, Cottesloe, Joondalup (where they have that provocative Edith Cowan University campus building) and Victoria Park……there are a few more relatives but I’m not so close to them so I don’t know where they stay.

Obviously, I saw much MUCH nicer houses than these but they happened on days when I either didn’t have my camera or was too busy with the baby to be snapping away. Darn!
