On the way to school yesterday, the Hubs received a call from our friendly insurance consultant and very quickly, the Hubs asked him if our insurance covered unemployment because he was currently unemployed! Unfortunately, the insurance consultant said it wasn’t but if I could get the word Eurasian on my birth certificate since my mother is Eurasian, then we were now elligible to purchase some Amanah Saham Bumiputra funds that were giving an interest of at least 7%. I’m not sure if that was true information but we’ve actually known that for a long time but never really took advantage of it because we felt that there were more people who needed it more than us. However, the fact that the Government opens up more units for us to buy also means the Government needs money! And should we trust out Government with our money??? So I told the Hubs that perhaps out of all the thousands of insurance he has invested in, perhaps he needed to look into one that covered unemployment and directed him to some places where he could look into it. If you are interested, this was the best site I found.
