Pattaya Beach, Thailand; yup, that’s where we are right now! Why? Initially, we came to join the Pattaya Triathlon as a family to support a brand and were prepared to invest RM20,000 to give out FREE products to the participants but ever since the company has shown extra support to foul play, I decided not to support them anymore. But as a team, we came for a fun family holiday anyway. And fun it has been!
The kids are at the pool which sits just outside our suite daily three times a day. They are as brown as drain rats at the moment whilst I am at the spa every single day. I am spoilt but I just LOVE being marinated in beautifully scented oils……
We have been eating glorious Thai food and playing Card Monopoly and I must say the little one is getting pretty good at property purchases! The game is good because it allows them to practise their business acumen and learn to be smarter than smart which is all skills we need in the real world, isn’t it? People may try to bring me down, for example, but before they even begin, I am already 10 steps running ahead, thanks to the training from my late Mom. She always said to not show your enemy your real plans. Uhh Uhh Uhuh……this comes from one of my team member’s favourite songs from Phuket. What awesome memories we had but it is the last of my free holidays with that company. I have moved on.
People cannot believe how not desperate I am when it comes to money. I think that when you have already been exposed to money, it is really not such a big deal. It’s like that Hermes bag. When you do not have it, perhaps you desire it but once you can afford it, it really is no longer a big deal. And anyway, different people have different priorities. Some people have such a shallow view of the world, it is not wonder why they are called cows. Some think they are so clever but there is no point in being clever when you have no emotional bearing, know what I mean? Because in business and in being happy in this world, you NEED soul. You need a genuine heart filled with love and you need to be able to inspire others with sincerity. Failing which, everything is temporary. You could never, EVER, build a sustainable real business (or friendship) with bullshit. Bullshit will only take you so far, dearest friends. So please, firstly be honest with yourselves. Why are you so unhappy? The world has so much to offer. But if you cannot even live with yourselves, you will live an endless struggle of war.
Pattaya gives me the impression of being a sex beach possibly because when I was the Country Director of a multinational railway signalling company, the foreign engineers we used to hire would go to Pattaya for a weekend of play. That would be golf play during the day and girlie play at night, and me being the only girl in their circle, would listen to all their funny stories of play. But now I am right here with kids!!! Thank goodness we have not been exposed to anything sexual LOL.
Food has been good but only because we have a Thai national with us to bring us around to the best places to eat. Seafood is extremely fresh and yummy. We had steamed crabs last night dipped in Thai chilli sauce. We had steamed crayfish, steamed fish, steamed prawns, salted egg squid which was different to what we have back home. Absolutely wonderful. I look forward to more yummy food tonight.
Oh, it’s time for my spa session! Gotta run……
