Gangster in my family

Posted on August 24, 2006May 20, 2009 by Mamapumpkin
who is a mouse, really...... It's T I'm talking about. Her mannerisms are loud and rambunctious. She doesn't talk to herself. She yells to herself. There is not a quiet moment when she is awake or around in the same 100 square meters. She.......click to learn what next.

T-Shirts that will put an American Quilt to shame

Posted on August 24, 2006 by Mamapumpkin
Let me tell you a little secret of The Hubs. He still has T-shirts dating back to 1985 (the pile he got from Michigan, which I've mostly thrown out without his knowledge) and 1995 (the pile he got from New York City, which.......click to learn what next.

Broken Records

Posted on August 24, 2006 by Mamapumpkin
When my Father-in-Law went on about my Mother-in-Law sounding like a broken record, I sniggered whilst a secret elation filled me that I was included in this little family ring of 'let's take the piss out of MIL'. They were in their 70's.......click to learn what next.

Countdown to the biggest event of the year!

Posted on August 21, 2006May 20, 2009 by Mamapumpkin
My little pumpkin's 2nd birthday...... The Hubs complained that this birthday was bigger than the grand wedding of our local pop princess, Siti Nurhaliza (which is all over the local news at the moment), ever since I started making him help out. All.......click to learn what next.

Ideas

Posted on August 21, 2006May 20, 2009 by Mamapumpkin
Why is it that when I put my head down to sleep at night, all these great ideas come flooding into my head and I continue working them all out. Yet am too lazy/tired to get out of bed to actually write them.......click to learn what next.

Less is more

Posted on August 18, 2006May 20, 2009 by Mamapumpkin
I've been wondering of late how Tee feels about all her toys. She has a helluva lot of toys. Mostly all given. I have about 50 handbags (maybe more) in my wardrobe and I'm thinking WTF?! I honestly don't use any of it and even if.......click to learn what next.

The first time

Posted on August 18, 2006 by Mamapumpkin
was with a very, very blonde Finnish guy with a Malaysian accent. He adored me and would cycle 20 kilometres just to see me for an hour or two whenever he ran out of cab money and his dad wouldn't give him more........click to learn what next.

My accidents history

Posted on August 18, 2006November 23, 2011 by Mamapumpkin
When I was 10, I smashed through a glass door running at full speed whilst being chased by a friend. I became famous overnight and ended up with little scars thankfully in discreet body locations with about 30 stitches. When I was 12, I.......click to learn what next.

Leeches

Posted on August 18, 2006 by Mamapumpkin
I have a phobia of anything cold, slimy and slithery. That includes all amphibians, reptiles and insects of those sort. My encounters of them have been horrifying and memorable although I wish I wcould erase that part! Once upon a time, a boy.......click to learn what next.

I have 3 fathers…

Posted on August 18, 2006 by Mamapumpkin
Or none at all. Depending on whether I want to see my glass half full or half empty.... Father #1 felt he was too young to be tied down with a baby (i.e. I was an 'accident') so Mom left him because she.......click to learn what next.

Sugar in your armpits

Posted on August 16, 2006 by Mamapumpkin
Mom allowed T to play with flour, sugar and a slice of lemon yesterday in attempt to stop T from annoying her from cooking a great big meal for us. >>Fast Forward>> Somehow I am always sleepy the moment T recharges from her afternoon nap. She.......click to learn what next.

Kwiwerr

Posted on August 14, 2006 by Mamapumpkin
It is not unusual that I am totally zombified this week as T has been searching for my hand many times during the night, more than usual. So when she ran into my bedroom this morning excitedly shouting "Kwiwerr! Kwiwerr!" I wasn't sure if I.......click to learn what next.

Laughter is GREAT for the soul

Posted on August 14, 2006 by Mamapumpkin
When was the last time you laughed? Was it a 2 second chuckle or stomach stitch hysterics that set off after every breather you took? If you have a toddler, it probably wasn’t too long ago.  The only downside of me laughing too.......click to learn what next.

My Baby Needs a King Sized Bed….

All to herself. Yup. At my baby shower for what seems like eons ago, my dearest friends and family got us practically everything we needed (for our first newborn, including a beautiful walnut stained cot that was bigger than a standard cot and.......click to learn what next.

Mrs Gabriel’s Secret Haven

Posted on August 8, 2006 by Mamapumpkin
After parking my car at what seemed like an old dilapidated block of flats, I made my way up to the home of Mrs Gabriel, bumping into a little girl on her pink tricycle, assumingly one of the neighbour’s daughters. Three landings and.......click to learn what next.

Mamapumpkin

I love green Once upon a time, she designed buildings and interiors of corporate offices and on the rare occasion, homes. Then, she cleaned poop and became a student of a patience management course. From the drawing board as a London Architect to the realities of Motherhood, she has certainly learned many lessons in humility. And then others.....

To succeed in the corporate world, first succeed with your kid as the happy boss. Seriously.

Fast forward 20 years later, Mamapumpkin has retired her husband from full time employment, living on passive income and abundance and has never felt so happy and fulfilled in her whole entire life. She now realises that all the pain and setbacks, the cruelty and the evil, which seriously nobody has to endure, was her stepping stone to where she now is and who she has become.

She has no regrets and would walk exactly the same path if given the chance again.

I love green

This blog is about Mamapumpkin: A strong, kick-ass Mom who worked full time juggling several jobs - the full-time paid job, the raising of her 2 kids (she gets paid in kind for this) and the volunteering job for various charity organisations and parenting websites. Needless to say, she got very little sleep (3-5 hours per day, Margaret Thatcher who used to sleep 4 hours per day during her conservative career inspires this crazy lifestyle).

Mamapumpkin intended to change the working Mom landscape in Malaysia where working women could bring their children to the corporate office of a client and not be frowned upon.

Today, she wants to show all women that if she can, YOU TOO CAN. She will guide you if you need that guidance. She will lend you that belief if you don't yet have it. She will show you every step of the way how you can do it. Her next decade is about raising the lives of as many families as she can.

I love green

Mamapumpkin writes about anything that comes out of her head but mostly seeks to inspire and share about all things that will bring benefits to others from her knowledge and experience.

Her 2 girls used to drive her towards challenge after challenge, 24/7.....day after day.....and interestingly, in her past life before her awakening, her parents were Muslim, her in-laws Buddhist, she was a Catholic and her Hubs, an Atheist. She's thinking her kids should be Hindu, just to complete the rainbow religion cycle.

Today, she believes in ONE GOD and HE overpowers ALL RELIGION because religion is really Man's interpretation of the downloads. She however, has had an incredible experience with GOD. That formless substance, that Creator, that omnipresent highest form of energy, the ALL, the Spirit, and many more labels humans have called Him.

Gotta love it.

She'd love to hear from you : Mamapumpkin at gmail dot com
