Creativity in Children

Posted on September 2, 2010August 31, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
Recently, T1 had a best friend down from London whom we met a few times to play. People automatically assume that when you are a child of a designer, you naturally inherit your parents genes and are talented in creating stuff. It is.......click to learn what next.

Posted on September 2, 2010September 2, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
This morning whilst I was looking at the concert schedule for Lady Gaga next year, T1 came to spy and immediately caught sight of Lady Gaga's picture. She immediately started reading over my shoulder and asked when Lady Gaga was coming to the.......click to learn what next.

Posted on September 1, 2010August 28, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
Now that Merdeka Day has come and gone, did the Earth move for you? I remember back in the day when Merdeka Day to me was really a cause for celebration. As a child, I was brought to the Selangor Club to experience.......click to learn what next.

Learning the planets of the solar system

Posted on August 31, 2010August 27, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
T1 came home this week singing an unfamiliar song to a familiar tune. It is quite clever how her school teaches them to remember by making them learn the facts through songs, since children are naturally predisposed to learning musically and it works!.......click to learn what next.

Diamonds! Diamonds!

Posted on August 31, 2010August 31, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
Diamonds are a girl's best friend. Do you know what the most expensive diamond in the world is? Many years ago, I only knew of white diamonds. Then, my mother kept talking about yellow diamonds and pink diamonds. Today, I've learned that the.......click to learn what next.

Ben 10 girl

Posted on August 30, 2010August 26, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
If you knew my girl, you'd know that feminine she is not. She prefers all things boys and cannot stand being in a ballerina tutu, flings Barbies out of windows and would cook High School Musical if she could. She reads Ben 10.......click to learn what next.

Chawan, Bangsar

Posted on August 29, 2010August 26, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
Have you ever been there? When they first started, I used to hang out here having breakfast with friends (read T1's friend's moms) as I was always too lazy to drop T1 off at school, go home and then pick her up again.......click to learn what next.

Family Day on a Saturday?

Posted on August 29, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
During the weekends, that is Saturday and Sunday to us in the land of Tees (in Kota Bharu, the weekend is Friday and Saturday, did you know?), T1 spends it with Nana (and Tok-Tok, if he's not working) so the Hubs and I.......click to learn what next.

Decluttering the home

Posted on August 28, 2010August 28, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
How many times have you bought something that didn't work out? Or subscribed to something that was completely lousy? Or paid for services that you totally regretted? *sigh* Me? Countless times. Most of the time, I cannot be bothered to go back and.......click to learn what next.

My Beautiful Mama…..

I was going through some old posts and just HAD to repost this as I was thinking of Mom all day today. Why? Because I cooked up a storm in the kitchen and everything looked impressive (to me la!) but the truth is,.......click to learn what next.

Snippets of T1

Posted on August 27, 2010August 27, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
Whilst I was complaining to the Hubs that my Blackberry batteries don't seem to last very long, and that I needed to find a Blackberry car phone battery charger, T1 decided to add to the conversation: Because I bet it's made in China........click to learn what next.

Digi or Maxis?

Posted on August 24, 2010August 23, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
After being with Maxis for the last 13 years, yesterday our entire family moved over to the bright side. If we had moved over to Celcom, I'd have called it the dark side. Sorry, Mr Celcom. The move was fast, simple and painless........click to learn what next.

Mamapumpkin

I love green Once upon a time, she designed buildings and interiors of corporate offices and on the rare occasion, homes. Then, she cleaned poop and became a student of a patience management course. From the drawing board as a London Architect to the realities of Motherhood, she has certainly learned many lessons in humility. And then others.....

To succeed in the corporate world, first succeed with your kid as the happy boss. Seriously.

Fast forward 20 years later, Mamapumpkin has retired her husband from full time employment, living on passive income and abundance and has never felt so happy and fulfilled in her whole entire life. She now realises that all the pain and setbacks, the cruelty and the evil, which seriously nobody has to endure, was her stepping stone to where she now is and who she has become.

She has no regrets and would walk exactly the same path if given the chance again.

I love green

This blog is about Mamapumpkin: A strong, kick-ass Mom who worked full time juggling several jobs - the full-time paid job, the raising of her 2 kids (she gets paid in kind for this) and the volunteering job for various charity organisations and parenting websites. Needless to say, she got very little sleep (3-5 hours per day, Margaret Thatcher who used to sleep 4 hours per day during her conservative career inspires this crazy lifestyle).

Mamapumpkin intended to change the working Mom landscape in Malaysia where working women could bring their children to the corporate office of a client and not be frowned upon.

Today, she wants to show all women that if she can, YOU TOO CAN. She will guide you if you need that guidance. She will lend you that belief if you don't yet have it. She will show you every step of the way how you can do it. Her next decade is about raising the lives of as many families as she can.

I love green

Mamapumpkin writes about anything that comes out of her head but mostly seeks to inspire and share about all things that will bring benefits to others from her knowledge and experience.

Her 2 girls used to drive her towards challenge after challenge, 24/7.....day after day.....and interestingly, in her past life before her awakening, her parents were Muslim, her in-laws Buddhist, she was a Catholic and her Hubs, an Atheist. She's thinking her kids should be Hindu, just to complete the rainbow religion cycle.

Today, she believes in ONE GOD and HE overpowers ALL RELIGION because religion is really Man's interpretation of the downloads. She however, has had an incredible experience with GOD. That formless substance, that Creator, that omnipresent highest form of energy, the ALL, the Spirit, and many more labels humans have called Him.

Gotta love it.

She'd love to hear from you : Mamapumpkin at gmail dot com
