After three whole years, the Hubs and I finally went out together for a function without Tee. We were invited for a dinner party at the Carcosa so we booked Nana early, knowing full well she could bail out at the very last minute, but she pulled through. Bless her! She played with Tee from 6pm till midnight – non stop. Even her maid was overwhelmed and had to tell us the story the next morning of how Tee was busy painting at close to midnight, wildly, and how she had to play play-doh at 10pm when it was way pass her bedtime, and then role-played with her Nana…….. blablabla. Thank you, Nana.

We had such a fabulous time that we’re thinking of doing it again soon. It has been so long since the Hubs actually put a suit on for an evening, and me all dressed up. I’d even forgotten how to put make up on! I was longing to wear my stilettos but alas practicality took over, and I wore normal heels instead. When am I ever going to wear them stilettos??? *sigh*

It was an evening of great company, okay only food, fantastic wine and friendship. It was very heartwarming. It reminded me how I really missed these moments of adult laughter. Now, I really have to shed these 20 kilos so I wouldn’t be so hesitant at taking those party group photos!!!

Who’s inviting me to the next party? I want to party!!!
