My legs do the walking, and my Indian blood does the talking…

Apart from requesting for pear balls for breakfast, in our extreme haste, Tee just HAD to bring her little bag out today. I explained to her that all we were going to do was run around doing some errands and pick her grandparents up so there really was no need to bring a bag along. But no, she HAD to bring a bag, not just any bag. A bag that she had to go look for, then find all her paraphernalia for the day that she wanted to fill her bag with, only would she leave home.

Can you imagine how many deep breaths I had to take whilst waiting to get out that front door?

So she brought along a pink knapsack. And she had to put it on over her shoulders despite me telling her not to, because by the time we got into the car, she’d have to remove it again to get into her car seat. Every single second is precious time to me. But again, because of her royal highness’s willfulness, I bit my lip whilst my heart took a downward toll. This stress thing really isn’t good for the heart.

During the drive, she reinforces the fact that it’s actually really good that she brought her bag because it can keep her entertained and QUIET whilst I drive. Whatever.

She continued doing her colouring in the car. She’s so good at abstract art for a reason.

When we stopped to buy the Chinese newspapers which my in laws had requested for, I told Tee that we had to rush down to get the newspapers only, and rush back, so REALLY, there was no need for the bag. There was absolutely NO OPPORTUNITY at all for her to do any colouring in the newspaper stand.

She quietly got out of her car seat and started putting her bag over her shoulders whilst I repeated myself that she did NOT HAVE TO BRING HER BAG!!!

It was a perfectly logical explanation which her little intelligence could certainly reason with, and then she said, “No, I know I won’t have time to colour, Mom……I just want to bring my bag because I need to workout my shoulders….”

Where the fuck does she get that from?!!!! Work out her shoulders???!!!!! I’m sorry, this girl she just cracks me up.
