T1 is currently having some mid term test in school and so she’s spending a teeny weeny bit of time actually studying. I wouldn’t exactly call it studying as she is genuinely interested in what she is reading. For example, yesterday she was studying her Geography, which taught her about the UK and India. Because we told her that we were going to take her to London and Paris next year, she asked if we could go visit this little English Village in the UK since she’d read all about it in Geography. I said, YES!!! Of course!!! It’ll be an additional 100 quid on a National Express Bus, I suppose……or 400 quid on the Network Rails Train!!! What the heck. Anything for my baby.
So today was her Geography test and she told me that she had two questions she couldn’t answer. *rolls eyeballs*
What were they? I asked.
“When was Bradford developed? And what is the island below south of India? She answered coyly.
“WHAT!!!!” I was frustrated because just the day before when she was reading her Geography, I told her that her ancestors were from Sri lanka aka Ceylon. She started asking more questions about it and I told her yes, Nana’s grandfather was from Ceylon and her grandmother was from Portugal. Ladidadida……and today, she’d already forgotten the name.
She pacified me by saying, “Well, at least I’ll still get 98%!!”
If only.
In any case, I thought the Bradford question was a stupid one. Who cares when Bradford was born???
