After having a chat with my Filipino helper the other day, we identified that she is bored with her job because quite simply, there is not enough to do in a 1,800sf apartment! Which is why we never had any help, because apart from our privacy which we truly value, we knew that a helper would certainly get bored working for us. There is only so much cleaning one can do…..
So I’ve told her that we shall start a business together which will occupy her extra free time and earn her extra money. My only worry is if she gets more enthusiastic about our business than her job! *sigh*
Nevertheless, let’s just give it a try…..just to keep her occupied.

er……get her learn to entertain your kids lo, so u have more time to do something you want to.
My maid’s prob is the opposite eventho I help her with the house cleaning, washing dishes, etc as there’s always something to do. She does all the cooking too as I hate cooking (I rather clean the hse since I’m a neat freak)
my maid would love to work for u then…since there’s not enough work, she can nap more often!! lets switch maids..
Don’t mean to be nosy or sound rude but how can your helper be bored with 2 kids to take care of and a big house to clean, 2 meals to cook a day, car to wash, besides entertainning the kids so that you can leave the house on your own for some sanity? Your maid is either damn efficient or you are erm too nice to her?
get her to coook. ask her to think of creative things to cook / bake. n sew.
wah!!! she is so lucky!!! and yet she complained bored. guess she wanna work with a home that only allow her to sleep for 3 hours every nite??
