Boo-hoo-hoo x 100000000000000000000000000 !!!
Our family were booked in to stay here next March during the school holidays for a week. But suddenly, the Hubs changed his mind and said we shouldn’t go after all. Why? He read about Tokyo having pockets of radiation now and that some Americans were asked to leave Japan. My Hubs, he’s all pro-American having spent half his life there and reads all the American news, not the Malaysian news.
And because we were going to be travelling from Tokyo all the way up to Hokkaido, the risk with kids and all, he didn’t think it worth it.
I think the real reason was that he didn’t want to spend the money and would rather lose a little than spend a lot. Hrmph.
The girls and I were SO disappointed!!! T1 was looking forward to seeing real snow!!!
So I told the Hubs that if we weren’t going to Japan, then we could use the money for shopping to make up for our disappointment. His heart bounced hard a few times, DOING-Doing-doing-DOING!!, but he finally agreed that we could use a portion of the budgeted holiday money for shopping. Lalalalala……I love my husband, I really do.
So whilst we will have no holiday next March, we have started budgeting for our next holiday instead.
It’s so hard planning for holidays but someone’s got to do it. I should just provide a service – HOLIDAY PLANNER – and charge for it.
How many people have the time to research and read and ask around to decide where to go, what to do and where to stay? Even which flights to take, what times, which connections and all the painful fringes that come with planning a holiday?
So there you go. No more Japan for us.
Boo-Hoo-Hoo x 10000000000000000000000000 !!!
We have never been to Japan and were REALLY looking forward to it. I guess this means you will not be seeing T2 dressed up like this……..
And neither will we.
BOO-HOO-HOOOOOOOOO x 100000000000
*WAIIIIIILLLLLSSSSSSS!!!!!*
