Greetings from Chiang Mai!

Sawadeeka!!

We are currently in beautiful Chiang Mai with 23 crazy, psychotic family members. It’s difficult getting everyone round to get a decent photo let alone just SIX!!! See for yourself. I kept shouting to them, “OK, everyone LOOK HERE NOW!!! SMILE!!!” Click. Tak jadi. Again. Repeat. Click. Tak jadi. Repeat. Click. Tak jadi.

It’s bloody difficult and I don’t think I’m even going to attempt taking a pic of all 23 members. We’ll see.

From left to right : Amah, Tok-Tok, T2, Uncle Ben, T1, Kong-Kong. Notice how Kong-Kong’s eyes are always closed? Notice how Amah is always looking at the sky? Well, Kong-Kong says Amah tires him out so he’s perpetually asleep. He can sleep standing and he sleep walks. He can even talk in his sleep. He’s almost 80. Amah, she thought the camera was up in the clouds……or no, maybe she was admiring a rainbow. We’ll forgive her.

What about Nana? Where was Nana??? Nana was busy with her policeman whistle going PEEP!!! PEEP!! real loud because it was difficult getting 23 people to round up whenever we went places. Just imagine. That’s about 10 hotel rooms – do you think everyone came down at the stipulated time each time? It was always a cat and mouse game within the hotel looking for people and the luxury vans were always waiting…….poor drivers. They’ll probably pay us not to book them ever again.

Nana has started bleeding again and is losing a lot of weight. But she’s happy and does not want to know if she has an additional type of cancer in her colon on top of her tongue cancer. She’s happy to go with the flow and enjoy living whatever is left of her life. And my T2 still bullies her. What am I saying, both T1 and T2 bully her! See? T2 makes Nana play aeroplane about 38 times even though Nana’s energy levels aren’t as good as before. When we stop her, she throws a fit and Nana will tell us to shut up.

Spoilt! Spoilt! Spoilt!

And last but not least, we are truly having a grand time here but I now have to rush out for the Sunday Night Market but will continue later.

Plan your next holiday to Chiang Mai now!
