This must be the 3rd or 4th time that we’ve received real live fishes as party packs or door gifts at parties and whilst the first time was all thrills for T1, now she’s beginning to discover that having a pet (or pets) is hard work. Of course, I make her feed her own fish and clean their tanks etc. There is no way I’d be doing it!

Surprisingly though, it’s been more than 2 months now and her two fishes are still alive. She even got our Nanny to take them home to care for them when we went away on holiday. Bless her, I would have just killed them. *Pet lovers, look away*

But do you know, that it is now illegal in the UK for people to give away fish as party packs or door gifts? Yes, they banned the practise when they decided it was too cruel for the fish…..
