First AGM at the Grand Hyatt Erawan

First AGM at the Grand Hyatt Erawan – Well, it had to be a grand location. It was after all our very first Annual General Meeting – that of our newly formed Secret Society. We headed to the Grand Hyatt Erawan where we could not afford to stay at RM700 per night (only Nana has ever stayed there) but could well afford to hold our first AGM, chaired respectfully by none other than the Granny of the lot. Muahahaha……

Topic of discussion? First up……LIFE!!! How as a woman to achieve a strategic happy life forever!!! That would be one without botox nor sleeping your way, nor even working very hard at all. Unfortunately, there is too much to share and membership comes at a high price so we will share only what we remember. If you are interested, consultation with the Life Guru can be arranged *grins*

Shireen (with her large white Paris Hilton sunnies) listens intensely as she is the one learning the most from this exercise. But then again, who is to say, because PL and I, we know in theory, the rules of the game but putting it into practice is another thing altogether. I guess we’ll just have to check back in 10 years……

.

PL going Ohhhhhhhh……...she obviously learned something NEW. What was it? I cannot remember now. Was it how to keep your husband happy? Or how to make your husband give you more money? Or how to challenge your husband intellectually? Or how to satisfy your husband in bed? Or how to get your husband to THINK he’s boss? Or perhaps it was how to keep your high heels clean? How to invest your assets? How to feed your husband grapes? How to get your husband to buy you a Chanel bag? How to get your husband to agree to your next girlie week in 2 months time?

.

Shireen…..she really ACTS so innocent all the time. She would gape with wide open jaws should the topic of the silent S come onto the table, or FAINT should she see lesbians kissing or men dressed as women. But we know better now. The quietest, most innocent looking and acting women, are usually the wildest of the lot, with the most sordid ideas…….

Whereas the loud mouths, the ones whose barks are harder than their bites? Worry not for they are completely harmless.

Shireen, your reputation is so busted.

.

The Guru, who has fought cancer for 10 years now, further explains that…………

.

And then, for our first AGM at the Grand Hyatt Erawan, we had brunch at the Coffee House because the famous noodle place downstairs were having a Malaysian noodle promotion. We didn’t come all the way to Thailand to eat Malaysian noodles! They had Mee Rebus, Mee Jawa, Mee Kari etc.

Thai beef salad (very tasty but they cut the beef wrongly so it was chewy). How embarrassing for a 5 star Hotel to get it wrong!

.

Pad Thai (Thai Char Kuay Teow) – LOVELY!!!

.

Tom Yum noodles – Not so lovely. Nana said that the best tom yum noodles in Bangkok was ??? Shit, my memory fails me now. Isetan food court? Go ask her.

.

After brunch, we (well, truthfully led by me) traipsed down to the little pattiserie where they had on display hundreds of coloured macaroons and cakes of every size and shape. We each ordered something and nothing tasted good. How horrific!

.

Nana’s carrot cupcake was dry and plain, and the topping wasn’t even cream cheese. Bleagh.

.

Well, at least the company was good! As the Guru’s teachings got further downloaded to us amateurs……see? Magic balls of useful informations spewed out of Nana’s mouth…….

.

Learning and absorbing……we were kicking ourselves for not bringing our notebooks. Why are there no photos of me? I was the one with the camera, duh.

That concludes our first AGM at the Grand Hyatt Erawan of which the minutes are yet to be distributed. Hint-hint. Shireen? You volunteered to be the Secretary, remember?

I’m sorry I cannot divulge the juicy details of the AGM as that would be considered defaulting the membership code of conduct and I would get kicked out of this prestigious club!
