My typical day starts at 5am. Some days it starts at 7am. Some days it starts at 9am. Some days it’s at 3am…..it all depends on how you want to look at it. Day or night, it doesn’t matter. All I know is, I’m up every 2 hours having my breasts sucked.

When I first asked how you knew which breast to let baby feed on each time, I was told to fondle feel my breasts and it sounded quite perverse. Masturbation was the furthest thing from my mind. Yet at that time, from experienced advice, I felt my chest but they both felt the same to me. So I wondered what was different about my breasts, apart from the fact that they were majorly lopsided.

NOW……I get it. 6 weeks later. I guess the milk supply has been established. I can now feel weight when previously, they were just distorted boobs. Now they’re milk balloons. I just have to be careful not to get them popped. Have you seen how kids smash those water balloons? Ouch. Thankfully, T2 sucks them gently now, like a tiny pin going into a milk balloon and milk leaks out slowly……….psssssss………….Oh, I am gross I know.

I don’t need a hair band anymore on my wrist although thank you very much to those who advised me. I made full use of hair bands during that first month. I’m a pro now. I just grab my boobs like a hungry self absorbed pervert, never mind if we are in public (it is already second nature), to check which side is deflated. Easy!

My problem now is putting the boob back into clothing once baby is done. I swear to God, one day I’ll forget to put my boob back in and someone will tell me I have my right boob hanging out like a fashion accessory. For all the world to see, not that they would pay for it or anything.

So yeah, this is what breastfeeding is all about. Playing around with boobs. There is a fine line between breastfeeding and breastfeeling. Babies and sex. All I know is that when I’m done, my boobs will no longer reach my waist but hang down low waiting to make friends with my belly button, you know, nipples meet belly button.. Hello! Hello? Hello, how do you do?

And I’d be able to tie a pretty unsightly ribbon, or a nippled bow with breasts in front of my chest.
