I am generally a generous person by nature, something I’ve inherited from my Mom; except that most times, I fail to find the time to get my friends a gift and then some years, I have the dilemma of giving too many people gifts until I end up eating rice and sardines every day. Let me tell you straight up now that I think gift giving is over-rated. Sure, it’s a nice gesture and everything, but I’d rather you save the money and feed that old lady who lives across the street, on the street. Of course, I appreciate every gift that I get, especially when someone decides to send chocolate cherries to me…….actually, I’d be happy with a LOT of things. But as for me, forgive me if the gift I give you is small or none at all, because I’d rather save it for the parents whose child fights for his life called Paul.
