I am currently in an Executive Room in the Westin Hotel typing blindly from a frigging cool brand new Macbook Pro because my glasses broke. T2 is sound asleep on the plush King bed and the Hubs has gone out with T1 and the gang to try to get my glasses fixed. We are due to attend a wedding this evening and are already late. Have we even showered? No. Gosh, I am SO blind! I can only see the screen if I head close at least 6 inches away from the screen. What more, I have never used an Apple before, the Ipad doesn’t count. So I’m a bit clueless when it comes to commands and functions. How come there is no END key??? The space bar does not tap silently like the other keys, but man……the keyboard on this baby is SO nice!!! It’s thickness is only 1cm thick and it’s not even the Macbook Air. The Hubs says I cannot do with the Macbook Air because I need a more powerful lappy for my work.

Apple or HP?

Laura Mercier or Annick Goutal?

The reason I am here is because Uncle Dave is in town! For my birthday! Yay! I also had my first business meeting last night after what, 8 years of not being in the corporate world? There I was, sexy Mommy, with 3 very adult men of over 55 years old (2 British Nationals, 1 Malaysian) discussing a broad spectrum of worldly affairs to end with some signing of papers. I was all dressed up in my 4 inch heels and we had Chinese at Eest. The bill? RM982 for a small Patin fish, a tofu dish, a Thai chicken dish, Baby Kailan, sweet and sour pork, and a beef tenderloin. The fish alone cost RM250 and the beef was RM88. I didn’t think it was worth it. The matsallehs thoroughly enjoyed it though.

I really miss being at work. But who knows, perhaps there is light at the end of the tunnel once T2 reaches a manageable age and I get to run the show for Malaysia. Pffftt…..I can dream, can’t I?

  1. It’s not about dreaming. It’s about DOING it. But then again, the ol’ saying that goes, “The grass is always greener on the other side…..”

  2. Macbooks are great. I have owned and had many laptops and other mobile devices but then i finally did the sensible thing to buy Macbook, the quality and functionality of the Macbook is superb and i feel they are more intuative to use.
Apple seems to be always ahead of the game in terms of design, functionality, usability. Integration with other devices like ipad, iphone and the likes just makes them even more a winner in my book.
