Detoxify yourself from Toxic People

Posted on September 29, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
We all know one, or two or three, or God forbid, more than that! I have certainly had my fair share of toxicity and it is all fine and dandy when they are just people around you that you can easily dump, but.......click to learn what next.

Children inheriting our genes

Posted on September 23, 2010September 20, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
It's fascinating how each of us have little bits of our parents and then sometimes, even our grandparents. Looks aside, I was observing my baby T2 the other day and thought, oh my God, she is so like me. I didn't tell anyone.......click to learn what next.

Drifting into surrealism

Posted on September 15, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
I can't take it anymore. I'm under a lot of pressure. I have work deadlines but here I am drifting, drifting......I feel like I have a million posts to write (ok, maybe a hundred) and I want to do them all right now.......click to learn what next.

Prejudging people

Posted on September 15, 2010September 15, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
Last night I slept with a sick feeling. Apart from the fact that I'm feeling under the weather, I couldn't help wondering why so many people in this world are so unnecessary? We should just hire a few tanks from the cheapest armed.......click to learn what next.

Why I could never live in Perth

Posted on September 13, 2010September 8, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
I like Perth. I like it a lot. I like it for its blue skies and gorgeous, GORGEOUS blue-green-turqoise-emerald-and everything in between seas; I like it for its friendly people, the politeness, the helpfulness, the cheerfulness, the maturity, the craziness, the fun, the.......click to learn what next.

1st week at school

Posted on September 5, 2010August 31, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
Guess what happened on T1's 1st week at school? Someone did a poo-poo in their pants. No, it wasn't my girl, but bless the poor child who did................. I'm very proud of my girl that she has learned how to be tactful (most.......click to learn what next.

Bringing a baby to a coffee shop

Posted on September 3, 2010August 31, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
Should you bring your baby to the local coffee shop? Many coffee shops in KL are filthy at best and although you may not see it, trust me, if you sat there long enough, you would catch a glimpse of a cockroach, a.......click to learn what next.

Creativity in Children

Posted on September 2, 2010August 31, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
Recently, T1 had a best friend down from London whom we met a few times to play. People automatically assume that when you are a child of a designer, you naturally inherit your parents genes and are talented in creating stuff. It is.......click to learn what next.

Merdeka sentiments

Posted on September 1, 2010August 28, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
Now that Merdeka Day has come and gone, did the Earth move for you? I remember back in the day when Merdeka Day to me was really a cause for celebration. As a child, I was brought to the Selangor Club to experience.......click to learn what next.

Blogging ups and downs

Posted on August 23, 2010August 23, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
Apart from spewing verbal diarrhea all over the internet (which releases a lot of internal tension hence good for health), I love blogging because it gives my heart a good workout (again, good for health). Yes, thumpety-thump-thump......my heart aches tremendously and cries out.......click to learn what next.

The willingness to help

Posted on August 23, 2010August 23, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
Today, T1's school bag was particularly heavy as she sent back ALL her books after exam week last week. I struggled to pull her trolley bag down hill on the bumpy road and wondered just how long the bag would last should it.......click to learn what next.

Texting whilst biking

Posted on August 22, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
The other day, this biker in front of us was sending text messages whilst riding his bike. Now I'll admit that sometimes I text too when I'm on the road, but I only ever do it at a red traffic light not whilst.......click to learn what next.

Before getting married

Posted on August 19, 2010August 19, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
All too often, I've known young couples getting married before they're remotely ready only to find themselves in a twist of drama and worries before the year is out. Some get married from unplanned pregnancies, some from insecure girls wanting to find security.......click to learn what next.

Walking T1 to school

Posted on August 17, 2010August 17, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
For the last 200 days, the Hubs had rushed the school run with T1 but now that he's home, I've volunteered to drive her instead. Anything to keep me away from the drug addict at home. My baby, that is. I wonder where.......click to learn what next.

Sisterly Love…..

Posted on August 13, 2010August 12, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
I must say, I have never witnessed a stronger sisterly bond than these two and I'm not meaning to boast my pride but only that I've not been around many young sisters obviously! T1 adores baby T2 to no end and will read,.......click to learn what next.

Mamapumpkin

I love green Once upon a time, she designed buildings and interiors of corporate offices and on the rare occasion, homes. Then, she cleaned poop and became a student of a patience management course. From the drawing board as a London Architect to the realities of Motherhood, she has certainly learned many lessons in humility. And then others.....

To succeed in the corporate world, first succeed with your kid as the happy boss. Seriously.

Fast forward 20 years later, Mamapumpkin has retired her husband from full time employment, living on passive income and abundance and has never felt so happy and fulfilled in her whole entire life. She now realises that all the pain and setbacks, the cruelty and the evil, which seriously nobody has to endure, was her stepping stone to where she now is and who she has become.

She has no regrets and would walk exactly the same path if given the chance again.

I love green

This blog is about Mamapumpkin: A strong, kick-ass Mom who worked full time juggling several jobs - the full-time paid job, the raising of her 2 kids (she gets paid in kind for this) and the volunteering job for various charity organisations and parenting websites. Needless to say, she got very little sleep (3-5 hours per day, Margaret Thatcher who used to sleep 4 hours per day during her conservative career inspires this crazy lifestyle).

Mamapumpkin intended to change the working Mom landscape in Malaysia where working women could bring their children to the corporate office of a client and not be frowned upon.

Today, she wants to show all women that if she can, YOU TOO CAN. She will guide you if you need that guidance. She will lend you that belief if you don't yet have it. She will show you every step of the way how you can do it. Her next decade is about raising the lives of as many families as she can.

I love green

Mamapumpkin writes about anything that comes out of her head but mostly seeks to inspire and share about all things that will bring benefits to others from her knowledge and experience.

Her 2 girls used to drive her towards challenge after challenge, 24/7.....day after day.....and interestingly, in her past life before her awakening, her parents were Muslim, her in-laws Buddhist, she was a Catholic and her Hubs, an Atheist. She's thinking her kids should be Hindu, just to complete the rainbow religion cycle.

Today, she believes in ONE GOD and HE overpowers ALL RELIGION because religion is really Man's interpretation of the downloads. She however, has had an incredible experience with GOD. That formless substance, that Creator, that omnipresent highest form of energy, the ALL, the Spirit, and many more labels humans have called Him.

Gotta love it.

She'd love to hear from you : Mamapumpkin at gmail dot com
