Making kids drink water

Posted on November 12, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
Monkey see? Monkey Do! My kids are terrible. They have to be constantly reminded to drink as they hardly ever get thirsty. It's in our genes. My mother doesn't get thirsty. I don't get thirsty. They don't get thirsty. There was a year.......click to learn what next.

T2’s 1st Birthday

Posted on November 1, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
T2's 1st birthday was a simple family affair with only the few of us. Mommy really didn't have any energy to organise a full blown birthday party but we had 2 lovely birthday cakes of which I haven't even had time to post.......click to learn what next.

When your Doctor doesn’t believe you

Posted on October 23, 2010October 23, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
This morning, bright and early, we picked T1 up from Nana's and brought her for her 6 year old booster jab. Don't ask me what it was for because I am hopeless at things like this. Which is kind of SCARY because how.......click to learn what next.

Ring Slings

Posted on October 12, 2010July 4, 2016 by Mamapumpkin
Both my babies never took to slings and to be honest, I never took to them either. For some reason, I could never figure out which shoulder it should go over, where exactly on the shoulder it should hang and how the fabric.......click to learn what next.

T2’s play date with B3

Posted on October 11, 2010October 11, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
It started out with very shy conversation. We couldn't understand a word they were saying but I would have paid a million bucks to have gone into those two babies' heads. . . B3 proceeded to teach T2 how to play the rainbow.......click to learn what next.

My little baby keh poh chee

Posted on October 7, 2010October 8, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
As a baby, T1 was so different from T2. T1 was more often than not obedient. Although she was VERY LOUD and boisterous, active and crazy, she would listen when I told her not to touch something. She was mostly happy to play.......click to learn what next.

The reading sisters

Posted on October 5, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
On a  daily basis, T2 will ask to be read to. The Hubs reads to her a few times a day, sometimes the same book over and over, because she refuses to change books. She has her favourites, for sure. And she is.......click to learn what next.

Holding a pencil correctly

Posted on September 30, 2010October 1, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
Many people have commented that my first daughter, T1, is very smart. I'm not sure by what measure they come to their conclusions but at the risk of sounding like a brag, I too sometimes acknowledge that she is of above average intelligence........click to learn what next.

Children inheriting our genes

Posted on September 23, 2010September 20, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
It's fascinating how each of us have little bits of our parents and then sometimes, even our grandparents. Looks aside, I was observing my baby T2 the other day and thought, oh my God, she is so like me. I didn't tell anyone.......click to learn what next.

Where has time been?

The First Years Swing Tray Feeding Chair – SOLD

Posted on September 21, 2010July 4, 2016 by Mamapumpkin
This is excellent when baby starts wanting to feed herself and needs a proper table to pick food up from. We even use it as baby T2's drawing table! But seriously, we need space and money so off it goes. We have a.......click to learn what next.

Bringing a baby to a coffee shop

Posted on September 3, 2010August 31, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
Should you bring your baby to the local coffee shop? Many coffee shops in KL are filthy at best and although you may not see it, trust me, if you sat there long enough, you would catch a glimpse of a cockroach, a.......click to learn what next.

Mamapumpkin

I love green Once upon a time, she designed buildings and interiors of corporate offices and on the rare occasion, homes. Then, she cleaned poop and became a student of a patience management course. From the drawing board as a London Architect to the realities of Motherhood, she has certainly learned many lessons in humility. And then others.....

To succeed in the corporate world, first succeed with your kid as the happy boss. Seriously.

Fast forward 20 years later, Mamapumpkin has retired her husband from full time employment, living on passive income and abundance and has never felt so happy and fulfilled in her whole entire life. She now realises that all the pain and setbacks, the cruelty and the evil, which seriously nobody has to endure, was her stepping stone to where she now is and who she has become.

She has no regrets and would walk exactly the same path if given the chance again.

I love green

This blog is about Mamapumpkin: A strong, kick-ass Mom who worked full time juggling several jobs - the full-time paid job, the raising of her 2 kids (she gets paid in kind for this) and the volunteering job for various charity organisations and parenting websites. Needless to say, she got very little sleep (3-5 hours per day, Margaret Thatcher who used to sleep 4 hours per day during her conservative career inspires this crazy lifestyle).

Mamapumpkin intended to change the working Mom landscape in Malaysia where working women could bring their children to the corporate office of a client and not be frowned upon.

Today, she wants to show all women that if she can, YOU TOO CAN. She will guide you if you need that guidance. She will lend you that belief if you don't yet have it. She will show you every step of the way how you can do it. Her next decade is about raising the lives of as many families as she can.

I love green

Mamapumpkin writes about anything that comes out of her head but mostly seeks to inspire and share about all things that will bring benefits to others from her knowledge and experience.

Her 2 girls used to drive her towards challenge after challenge, 24/7.....day after day.....and interestingly, in her past life before her awakening, her parents were Muslim, her in-laws Buddhist, she was a Catholic and her Hubs, an Atheist. She's thinking her kids should be Hindu, just to complete the rainbow religion cycle.

Today, she believes in ONE GOD and HE overpowers ALL RELIGION because religion is really Man's interpretation of the downloads. She however, has had an incredible experience with GOD. That formless substance, that Creator, that omnipresent highest form of energy, the ALL, the Spirit, and many more labels humans have called Him.

Gotta love it.
