The Psychology of Giving

Posted on March 19, 2013March 29, 2013 by Mamapumpkin
From the end of December last year, I posted up calls for help for the Children of Myanmar. I posted this call for help on this blog and on my personal Facebook page. On the rare occasion that I go out (probably once since) I.......click to learn what next.

Posted on March 7, 2013March 7, 2013 by Mamapumpkin
Just as soon as I'd left Myanmar, I am now flying back with T1......SO EXCITED!!! On our last trip there, by pure default because of this one person, we ended up in Yangon. T1 wrote a journal daily to detail everything she saw,.......click to learn what next.

When can children cut their own nails?

Posted on January 19, 2013 by Mamapumpkin
Hehehe.....child labour again. Honestly, I don't allow my kids to cut their own nails but this little minx here was caught red-handed with a baby nail clipper one day. When can kids start cutting their own nails anyway? I don't remember my parents.......click to learn what next.

Making their own juice

Posted on January 19, 2013January 19, 2013 by Mamapumpkin
We're into juicing a lot these days having freshly squeezed or blended juice at least 3 times every week. On top of that, we have fruit for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Needless to say, our average juice bill is about RM200 per week........click to learn what next.

Helping Out in Yangon

Posted on January 17, 2013January 17, 2013 by Mamapumpkin
Our trip to Yangon last November was really a mission of answering to a call of help. There was no time for sight seeing or relaxation as most holidays would include, just pure hard work, as T1 learnt very quickly. On Day One,.......click to learn what next.

Kids who don’t listen

Posted on December 2, 2012December 2, 2012 by Mamapumpkin
More often than not, if you have kids who don't listen (read disobedience) or who just generally misbehave and go against your grain, chances are you aren't paying enough attention to your kid. Now you may think that you pay your kid(s) tons.......click to learn what next.

Am I really that busy?

Posted on November 30, 2012November 30, 2012 by Mamapumpkin
The answer is yes. I am that busy. Some people think, if I'm so busy then why do I agree to bring boxes and boxes of supplies to Yangon for the orphanages? How come I have time to make comments on Facebook? Why.......click to learn what next.

Humbled by Sacrificial Love and Selfless Giving

Choosing an Education for your Child

Posted on September 26, 2012September 26, 2012 by Mamapumpkin

How to achieve a great education

Posted on September 21, 2012 by Mamapumpkin
I've been toying with the idea of allowing T1 to go to school as and when she pleases, with the intention of inculcating some internal discipline and self governance. Now, those are two terms I learnt from the Homeschooling Moms. You might think.......click to learn what next.

Mamapumpkin

I love green Once upon a time, she designed buildings and interiors of corporate offices and on the rare occasion, homes. Then, she cleaned poop and became a student of a patience management course. From the drawing board as a London Architect to the realities of Motherhood, she has certainly learned many lessons in humility. And then others.....

To succeed in the corporate world, first succeed with your kid as the happy boss. Seriously.

Fast forward 20 years later, Mamapumpkin has retired her husband from full time employment, living on passive income and abundance and has never felt so happy and fulfilled in her whole entire life. She now realises that all the pain and setbacks, the cruelty and the evil, which seriously nobody has to endure, was her stepping stone to where she now is and who she has become.

She has no regrets and would walk exactly the same path if given the chance again.

I love green

This blog is about Mamapumpkin: A strong, kick-ass Mom who worked full time juggling several jobs - the full-time paid job, the raising of her 2 kids (she gets paid in kind for this) and the volunteering job for various charity organisations and parenting websites. Needless to say, she got very little sleep (3-5 hours per day, Margaret Thatcher who used to sleep 4 hours per day during her conservative career inspires this crazy lifestyle).

Mamapumpkin intended to change the working Mom landscape in Malaysia where working women could bring their children to the corporate office of a client and not be frowned upon.

Today, she wants to show all women that if she can, YOU TOO CAN. She will guide you if you need that guidance. She will lend you that belief if you don't yet have it. She will show you every step of the way how you can do it. Her next decade is about raising the lives of as many families as she can.

I love green

Mamapumpkin writes about anything that comes out of her head but mostly seeks to inspire and share about all things that will bring benefits to others from her knowledge and experience.

Her 2 girls used to drive her towards challenge after challenge, 24/7.....day after day.....and interestingly, in her past life before her awakening, her parents were Muslim, her in-laws Buddhist, she was a Catholic and her Hubs, an Atheist. She's thinking her kids should be Hindu, just to complete the rainbow religion cycle.

Today, she believes in ONE GOD and HE overpowers ALL RELIGION because religion is really Man's interpretation of the downloads. She however, has had an incredible experience with GOD. That formless substance, that Creator, that omnipresent highest form of energy, the ALL, the Spirit, and many more labels humans have called Him.

Gotta love it.

She'd love to hear from you : Mamapumpkin at gmail dot com
