“Pitt-Pitt” shoes (No, not Brad Pitt)

Posted on August 31, 2006 by Mamapumpkin
I’m sure you know them, pitt-pitt shoes, more aptly known as squeaky shoes. Those ones that go “pitt-pitt-pitt-pitt-pitt-pitt-pitt………pitt-pitt-pitt….pitt-pitt”. Tee outgrew her first pair very quickly. At the time, I hadn’t even realised what I’d purchased as she’d tried them on at a very.......click to learn what next.

As I bid my 2 year old farewell….

Posted on August 31, 2006 by Mamapumpkin
Tee, of late has been choosing others’ company to mine. While that finally means HURRAY for me (more reading time, more writing time, more anything ME time!), I can’t help but feel responsible that……maybe I am not entertaining her enough. Maybe I’m not.......click to learn what next.

My Daughter Thinks I’m a Magician

Posted on August 29, 2006 by Mamapumpkin
Do your kids think that too? Whenever Tee wants to watch a TV programme of HER choice, like Barney or Noddy or Baby Einstein or High 5 or The Wiggles or Teletubbies or Thomas.......she will ask me for it. All well and good.......click to learn what next.

My contribution to Niagara Falls

Posted on August 28, 2006 by Mamapumpkin
Visualise this: I sit in an empty bath tub facing the taps. I put Tee in front of me and turn the taps on. And because she fights with me for the shower head, I pull it behind me and leave it there as the.......click to learn what next.

How to make an American Paper Bag

Posted on August 27, 2006 by Mamapumpkin
One thing I wasn’t used to when living in the US was the American grocery paper bag. Coming straight from London where all my groceries were walked home in white plastic carry bags, the paper bag seemed flimsy, difficult to carry and.......click to learn what next.

Bathroom Time

Posted on August 26, 2006 by Mamapumpkin
15 minutes tops for me – I don’t do morning showers. I used to pre-baby but no more. In fact in 15 minutes, 10 is spent brushing my teeth really well cuz I love food too much to risk losing any teeth. If.......click to learn what next.

Books that I connected with

Posted on August 25, 2006 by Mamapumpkin
My earliest memory of reading was 4 years old. I was at kindergarten when Christopher (a boy shorter than I) read me a book in attempt to impress entertain show off. But because I could actually READ, I wondered what the hell he.......click to learn what next.

Gangster in my family

Posted on August 24, 2006May 20, 2009 by Mamapumpkin
who is a mouse, really...... It's T I'm talking about. Her mannerisms are loud and rambunctious. She doesn't talk to herself. She yells to herself. There is not a quiet moment when she is awake or around in the same 100 square meters. She.......click to learn what next.

T-Shirts that will put an American Quilt to shame

Posted on August 24, 2006 by Mamapumpkin
Let me tell you a little secret of The Hubs. He still has T-shirts dating back to 1985 (the pile he got from Michigan, which I've mostly thrown out without his knowledge) and 1995 (the pile he got from New York City, which.......click to learn what next.

Broken Records

Posted on August 24, 2006 by Mamapumpkin
When my Father-in-Law went on about my Mother-in-Law sounding like a broken record, I sniggered whilst a secret elation filled me that I was included in this little family ring of 'let's take the piss out of MIL'. They were in their 70's.......click to learn what next.

Less is more

Posted on August 18, 2006May 20, 2009 by Mamapumpkin
I've been wondering of late how Tee feels about all her toys. She has a helluva lot of toys. Mostly all given. I have about 50 handbags (maybe more) in my wardrobe and I'm thinking WTF?! I honestly don't use any of it and even if.......click to learn what next.

Mamapumpkin

I love green Once upon a time, she designed buildings and interiors of corporate offices and on the rare occasion, homes. Then, she cleaned poop and became a student of a patience management course. From the drawing board as a London Architect to the realities of Motherhood, she has certainly learned many lessons in humility. And then others.....

To succeed in the corporate world, first succeed with your kid as the happy boss. Seriously.

Fast forward 20 years later, Mamapumpkin has retired her husband from full time employment, living on passive income and abundance and has never felt so happy and fulfilled in her whole entire life. She now realises that all the pain and setbacks, the cruelty and the evil, which seriously nobody has to endure, was her stepping stone to where she now is and who she has become.

She has no regrets and would walk exactly the same path if given the chance again.

I love green

This blog is about Mamapumpkin: A strong, kick-ass Mom who worked full time juggling several jobs - the full-time paid job, the raising of her 2 kids (she gets paid in kind for this) and the volunteering job for various charity organisations and parenting websites. Needless to say, she got very little sleep (3-5 hours per day, Margaret Thatcher who used to sleep 4 hours per day during her conservative career inspires this crazy lifestyle).

Mamapumpkin intended to change the working Mom landscape in Malaysia where working women could bring their children to the corporate office of a client and not be frowned upon.

Today, she wants to show all women that if she can, YOU TOO CAN. She will guide you if you need that guidance. She will lend you that belief if you don't yet have it. She will show you every step of the way how you can do it. Her next decade is about raising the lives of as many families as she can.

I love green

Mamapumpkin writes about anything that comes out of her head but mostly seeks to inspire and share about all things that will bring benefits to others from her knowledge and experience.

Her 2 girls used to drive her towards challenge after challenge, 24/7.....day after day.....and interestingly, in her past life before her awakening, her parents were Muslim, her in-laws Buddhist, she was a Catholic and her Hubs, an Atheist. She's thinking her kids should be Hindu, just to complete the rainbow religion cycle.

Today, she believes in ONE GOD and HE overpowers ALL RELIGION because religion is really Man's interpretation of the downloads. She however, has had an incredible experience with GOD. That formless substance, that Creator, that omnipresent highest form of energy, the ALL, the Spirit, and many more labels humans have called Him.

Gotta love it.

She'd love to hear from you : Mamapumpkin at gmail dot com
