Change is the only constant

Posted on July 8, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
I used to work for a global conglomerate where change evolved every nanominute of my 16 hour day. If it wasn't happening, something was wrong. We had to be on our toenails 24/7 and employees were stirred in a pressure cooker. A sure formula for raking.......click to learn what next.

The Hubs and I have been married for 6 years. Known each other for 10. Our wedding anniversaries, like birthdays and Valentines Day et al, are really no big deal. If we're up to the mood, we'll do something. If we're not, we.......click to learn what next.

About Pumpkins

Posted on July 8, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
For someone whose blog's url is called Big Pumpkin, I sure HATE. Absolutely DETEST........cutting and de-skinning pumpkins. From today onwards, I shall bring the pumpkins to my Mother's house and get the maid to chop them up. Unfortunately or fortunately, Tee loves eating.......click to learn what next.

Posted on July 7, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
For some reason, I suddenly had a strong urge to write about my grandmother tonight. My Grandma still drives herself everywhere. She drives to Church, she drives 60 kilometres TWICE a week to yoga class, she drives herself to the local hospital. Someone her.......click to learn what next.

No Way Out

Posted on July 7, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
A friend asked me today what I would do if I was one of the police officers charged for the murder of the Mongolian lady, Altantuya. The families of the police officer are possibly in grave danger. The police officer would have been.......click to learn what next.

Camouflage

Posted on July 7, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
One amazing (amazing because Tee had allowed me a lie-in) morning, I woke up to discover that my daughter had found her paint pots and busied herself with a little project. On her tummy..... On her legs.....and foot... "What's going on???!!!! Why are.......click to learn what next.

Are toddlers expected to greet people?

Posted on July 7, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
OK. I need some advise here. Being Asian, it is part of our culture to greet people. I'm not saying Westerners don't greet people but here, it is considered extremely BAD MANNERS, if you don't. Clearly and cheerfully. Like if we visited my Grandmother's home,.......click to learn what next.

Posted on July 5, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
I was reading 5xMom (yes, she really is a Mom 5 times over! You've gotta respect THAT) yesterday when something enlightened me. She said something to the effect of how some people blog hop and leave comments in other's blogs so they can.......click to learn what next.

What is your Mothering Personality?

Posted on July 4, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
I am the Helicopter Mom - always hovering over poor Tee. But only because I know her strengths and weaknesses to a Tee. Tee is very good with speech and imagination, logic and fine motor skills. But she is not so good with her.......click to learn what next.

An absolutely rotten day

Posted on July 3, 2007 by Mamapumpkin

RSS A Mother’s Monologue

Mamapumpkin

I love green Once upon a time, she designed buildings and interiors of corporate offices and on the rare occasion, homes. Then, she cleaned poop and became a student of a patience management course. From the drawing board as a London Architect to the realities of Motherhood, she has certainly learned many lessons in humility. And then others.....

To succeed in the corporate world, first succeed with your kid as the happy boss. Seriously.

Fast forward 20 years later, Mamapumpkin has retired her husband from full time employment, living on passive income and abundance and has never felt so happy and fulfilled in her whole entire life. She now realises that all the pain and setbacks, the cruelty and the evil, which seriously nobody has to endure, was her stepping stone to where she now is and who she has become.

She has no regrets and would walk exactly the same path if given the chance again.

I love green

This blog is about Mamapumpkin: A strong, kick-ass Mom who worked full time juggling several jobs - the full-time paid job, the raising of her 2 kids (she gets paid in kind for this) and the volunteering job for various charity organisations and parenting websites. Needless to say, she got very little sleep (3-5 hours per day, Margaret Thatcher who used to sleep 4 hours per day during her conservative career inspires this crazy lifestyle).

Mamapumpkin intended to change the working Mom landscape in Malaysia where working women could bring their children to the corporate office of a client and not be frowned upon.

Today, she wants to show all women that if she can, YOU TOO CAN. She will guide you if you need that guidance. She will lend you that belief if you don't yet have it. She will show you every step of the way how you can do it. Her next decade is about raising the lives of as many families as she can.

I love green

Mamapumpkin writes about anything that comes out of her head but mostly seeks to inspire and share about all things that will bring benefits to others from her knowledge and experience.

Her 2 girls used to drive her towards challenge after challenge, 24/7.....day after day.....and interestingly, in her past life before her awakening, her parents were Muslim, her in-laws Buddhist, she was a Catholic and her Hubs, an Atheist. She's thinking her kids should be Hindu, just to complete the rainbow religion cycle.

Today, she believes in ONE GOD and HE overpowers ALL RELIGION because religion is really Man's interpretation of the downloads. She however, has had an incredible experience with GOD. That formless substance, that Creator, that omnipresent highest form of energy, the ALL, the Spirit, and many more labels humans have called Him.

Gotta love it.

She'd love to hear from you : Mamapumpkin at gmail dot com
