Just as soon as I'd left Myanmar, I am now flying back with T1......SO EXCITED!!! On our last trip there, by pure default because of this one person, we ended up in Yangon. T1 wrote a journal daily to detail everything she saw,.......click to learn what next.

Schwedagon Pagoda in Yangon

Posted on January 21, 2013January 21, 2013 by Mamapumpkin
The Schwedagon Pagoda in Yangon is the most beautiful sanctuary of peace in Yangon. It is so big that it is almost like a village in its own right. You could spend hours and hours there just doing nothing, wandering around inhaling the.......click to learn what next.

Food in Myanmar

Posted on January 21, 2013 by Mamapumpkin
Food in Yangon was nothing like any crap Burmese food I've tasted in Malaysia. It is actually very, very delicious if you know where to go!!! I would say it's like Thai food but a milder version, almost a fusion between Thai and.......click to learn what next.

Entertaining kids in Yangon

Posted on January 19, 2013January 19, 2013 by Mamapumpkin
Entertaining kids in Yangon is easy. Kids really don't need much. In fact, it is because we spoil our kids here in KL with all sorts of stuff that they no longer know how to entertain themselves. If they don't have a gadget,.......click to learn what next.

Parking Lots in Yangon

Posted on January 19, 2013 by Mamapumpkin
Another quirky observation in Yangon was the parking lots. They're all kerbed up to make sure you stay within your space. Ha. Ha. Ha.

Where’s the Bloody Water Heater?

Posted on January 19, 2013 by Mamapumpkin
We stayed at a reasonably priced hotel in Yangon, not a top tier hotel that my kids are spoilt with and only because we get free hotel stays sometimes at that. So when T1 first saw the hotel, she exclaimed that it wasn't.......click to learn what next.

Playing with the Children of Myanmar

Posted on January 19, 2013January 19, 2013 by Mamapumpkin
I asked her if she wanted to follow me inside to take photos and talk to the people and she said no. The lure of many kids to play with was much too strong and despite usually being weary of strangers and always.......click to learn what next.

Orphanage in Yangon 2

Posted on January 19, 2013March 29, 2013 by Mamapumpkin
As promised, this is the second orphanage that we visited. It is essentially a monastery and because the rule of thumb of monasteries is that you can never turn a person in need away, the monastery has collected 180 kids who now live.......click to learn what next.

Helping Out in Yangon

Posted on January 17, 2013January 17, 2013 by Mamapumpkin
Our trip to Yangon last November was really a mission of answering to a call of help. There was no time for sight seeing or relaxation as most holidays would include, just pure hard work, as T1 learnt very quickly. On Day One,.......click to learn what next.

Journey to the Unknown – Yangon

Posted on January 6, 2013January 6, 2013 by Mamapumpkin
Continuing from our trip to Yangon, we spent the first half of the morning buying some supplies for the orphanages, such as rice. I thought we were just going to buy like 2-3 packets of those 10kg bags we normally see in the.......click to learn what next.

Mamapumpkin

I love green Once upon a time, she designed buildings and interiors of corporate offices and on the rare occasion, homes. Then, she cleaned poop and became a student of a patience management course. From the drawing board as a London Architect to the realities of Motherhood, she has certainly learned many lessons in humility. And then others.....

To succeed in the corporate world, first succeed with your kid as the happy boss. Seriously.

Fast forward 20 years later, Mamapumpkin has retired her husband from full time employment, living on passive income and abundance and has never felt so happy and fulfilled in her whole entire life. She now realises that all the pain and setbacks, the cruelty and the evil, which seriously nobody has to endure, was her stepping stone to where she now is and who she has become.

She has no regrets and would walk exactly the same path if given the chance again.

I love green

This blog is about Mamapumpkin: A strong, kick-ass Mom who worked full time juggling several jobs - the full-time paid job, the raising of her 2 kids (she gets paid in kind for this) and the volunteering job for various charity organisations and parenting websites. Needless to say, she got very little sleep (3-5 hours per day, Margaret Thatcher who used to sleep 4 hours per day during her conservative career inspires this crazy lifestyle).

Mamapumpkin intended to change the working Mom landscape in Malaysia where working women could bring their children to the corporate office of a client and not be frowned upon.

Today, she wants to show all women that if she can, YOU TOO CAN. She will guide you if you need that guidance. She will lend you that belief if you don't yet have it. She will show you every step of the way how you can do it. Her next decade is about raising the lives of as many families as she can.

I love green

Mamapumpkin writes about anything that comes out of her head but mostly seeks to inspire and share about all things that will bring benefits to others from her knowledge and experience.

Her 2 girls used to drive her towards challenge after challenge, 24/7.....day after day.....and interestingly, in her past life before her awakening, her parents were Muslim, her in-laws Buddhist, she was a Catholic and her Hubs, an Atheist. She's thinking her kids should be Hindu, just to complete the rainbow religion cycle.

Today, she believes in ONE GOD and HE overpowers ALL RELIGION because religion is really Man's interpretation of the downloads. She however, has had an incredible experience with GOD. That formless substance, that Creator, that omnipresent highest form of energy, the ALL, the Spirit, and many more labels humans have called Him.

Gotta love it.

She'd love to hear from you : Mamapumpkin at gmail dot com
