Helping in the kitchen

Posted on July 28, 2010July 26, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
Wherever I can, I'd make use of the kids for some free child labour. It certainly gets things going faster, never mind about the mess. The Hubs will take care of that! Yesterday, I got T1 to peel a whole bunch of French.......click to learn what next.

Another of T1's sketches.... There is a fruit river below, a juice blender for pureeing (I assume that would be for T2, haha), a lollipop orchard (she wishes!), flower friends on the top left, and an enclosure of some sort top right with.......click to learn what next.

Posted on July 26, 2010July 26, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
As explained earlier about T1's weekly stay at Nan's, on her 2nd week, she made Mommy some paper jewelery from cut out magazines, then rolled them using a thin chopstick and glued together to make little paper beads. Awesome! She excitedly presented me.......click to learn what next.

Scene venue: Master Bedroom on MY bed After much begging and whinging that I NEVER play with her, I relented but only for awhile, I made her promise. It started out innocent enough, with T1 sitting on my stomach.......and then T2 decided she.......click to learn what next.

Monkey traps in KL?

Posted on July 26, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
You heard right. Just 100 yards from our home, stands a large green metal container, about 7 by 7 feet high and wide, that we pass by everyday on our way home from school. And on lucky days, we'd catch the monkeys at.......click to learn what next.

Project paper mache at Nana’s

Posted on July 25, 2010July 22, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
Ever since we managed to convince T1 that staying at Nana's over the weekend was way more fun (we threatened her with balls and chains literally) than hanging out at home, she's settled into a new weekend routine much to Uncle Ben and.......click to learn what next.

Narcissism is prerequisite for success

Posted on July 24, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
I read that today. How interesting. It obviously has some truth in it as I have always wished I was more vain. If I were more vain, I'd be slim and looking great, not living my life as a dowdy Ah Sow, on.......click to learn what next.

Learning Similes

Posted on July 24, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
What the hell are similes, you may ask, especially if you are not an English Teacher? Well, I had no clue. A simile is a figure of speech comparing two unlike things with similar properties, for example, I am as busy as a.......click to learn what next.

Math Mania

Because I have so little time to spend with T1, she usually passes her time alone either playing, watching TV or doing her workbooks. I'm lucky in that I don't have to force this girl to do her workbooks as she actually enjoys.......click to learn what next.

Flykidz at Solaris

After a long time of begging, we finally allowed T1 to start the gym this year. But we've stopped everything else. I find this a suitable gym for this age group as they teach the kids some solid gymnastic skills (like handstands, cartwheels,.......click to learn what next.

Should babies watch TV?

Posted on July 19, 2010July 14, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
When T1 was a baby, I allowed her to watch those Baby Einstein videos that were supposed to stimulate babies. Those days, they weren't available in KL and we had to either purchase them overseas or stole them from friends. At some point,.......click to learn what next.

Preschooler’s questions on outer space

Posted on July 18, 2010July 19, 2010 by Mamapumpkin

Mamapumpkin

I love green Once upon a time, she designed buildings and interiors of corporate offices and on the rare occasion, homes. Then, she cleaned poop and became a student of a patience management course. From the drawing board as a London Architect to the realities of Motherhood, she has certainly learned many lessons in humility. And then others.....

To succeed in the corporate world, first succeed with your kid as the happy boss. Seriously.

Fast forward 20 years later, Mamapumpkin has retired her husband from full time employment, living on passive income and abundance and has never felt so happy and fulfilled in her whole entire life. She now realises that all the pain and setbacks, the cruelty and the evil, which seriously nobody has to endure, was her stepping stone to where she now is and who she has become.

She has no regrets and would walk exactly the same path if given the chance again.

I love green

This blog is about Mamapumpkin: A strong, kick-ass Mom who worked full time juggling several jobs - the full-time paid job, the raising of her 2 kids (she gets paid in kind for this) and the volunteering job for various charity organisations and parenting websites. Needless to say, she got very little sleep (3-5 hours per day, Margaret Thatcher who used to sleep 4 hours per day during her conservative career inspires this crazy lifestyle).

Mamapumpkin intended to change the working Mom landscape in Malaysia where working women could bring their children to the corporate office of a client and not be frowned upon.

Today, she wants to show all women that if she can, YOU TOO CAN. She will guide you if you need that guidance. She will lend you that belief if you don't yet have it. She will show you every step of the way how you can do it. Her next decade is about raising the lives of as many families as she can.

I love green

Mamapumpkin writes about anything that comes out of her head but mostly seeks to inspire and share about all things that will bring benefits to others from her knowledge and experience.

Her 2 girls used to drive her towards challenge after challenge, 24/7.....day after day.....and interestingly, in her past life before her awakening, her parents were Muslim, her in-laws Buddhist, she was a Catholic and her Hubs, an Atheist. She's thinking her kids should be Hindu, just to complete the rainbow religion cycle.

Today, she believes in ONE GOD and HE overpowers ALL RELIGION because religion is really Man's interpretation of the downloads. She however, has had an incredible experience with GOD. That formless substance, that Creator, that omnipresent highest form of energy, the ALL, the Spirit, and many more labels humans have called Him.

Gotta love it.

She'd love to hear from you : Mamapumpkin at gmail dot com
