Back to the Grind of being an SAHM

Oh yes, it was short lived, wasn’t it?

I’m now back to cleaning poop, spending all day trying to get some food into T2’s mouth (which is a BITCH) and finding hidden cheerios under my couch and last week’s baby bites under the bed *sigh*. Then I have to follow her around all day as well to make sure she stays out of trouble – I can barely have a poop in peace or a meal, for Heaven’s sake, and people ask me where does all my time go?

You try having a baby like T2 and then we shall have this conversation again, shall we?

It’s funny how despite hardly eating and being so skinny, this little lady sure has a LOUD voice and the persistence of steel. There’s no stopping till she GETS HER WAY.

And yesterday, she bit her sister on the cheek. Yes…..I was so mad and would have whacked her lil’ butt if I could but I’m against violence and aggression of any sort. There is a red mark with 3 fang bite marks on my poor T1’s cheek. The problem with T1 is that she loves her baby sister so much that she is forgiven already. I hope the scar fades away. Why did she bite her sister? Who knows? She’s just a little terror!

The Hubs says its all in the genes as I used to follow my brother around when he was a baby and BIT him. LOTS. Poor, Baby Ben……

Despite having 10 projects on my plate (oh, I could just never focus on one, why make life so easy, right?), none of them are moving. Taking care of a 14 month old baby is a full time job. There are no short cuts, and when you have a baby who hardly sleeps, you just do baby stuff all day long. And during those sleep moments, there is the laundry and the dishes and the cooking and the cleaning and the tidying and gosh, there isn’t even enough time for all that!

Hence why I hate birthday parties. They eat into my weekends when I could be catching up on all the chores.
