When I first became a Mom, I only had a handful of books to guide me. I didn’t have the world wide web, no support group and I certainly didn’t know any pregnant Moms till I was no longer pregnant. I can see how things would have been very different had I access to a parenting website and/or forums for me to learn from.
The role of a new mother is an overwhelming one and even when you’re a second, third or fourth time Mom (although I’m sure it can only get better with practise!), a parenting website or forum will still enable you to refresh your memory and old skills on caring for your baby.
Just imagine your child breaking out in a sweat at three in the morning. Isn’t it great that you can now turn on the internet to give you some peace of mind? Or at least allow you to make that decision whether you should take her to the hospital or not? Internet, I love you.
