Japanese housewives have a reputation of being subservient and all-serving. They take care of the household, take care of you and the family and they obey. And when pushed to the hilt, they kill. So don’t push your luck, men……

My uncle has a Japanese wife. From having all the freedom in the world with lots of money, his Japanese wife has adapted her ways to that of an average Malaysian housewife. From knowing only how to cook Japanese cuisine, she can now cook Chinese, Portuguese and Indian. She has spent a hundred thousand Ringgit on shopping sprees to the Louis Vuittons and the Pradas in Europe (that’s just ONE trip, people! and just shopping money!) but she now scrimps and hasn’t shopped for the last eight years. Anywhere.

By marrying my uncle, she risked losing her family because they certainly didn’t approve of their daughter marrying a Malaysian. A flight engineer at that. No way. They were rich Japanese.

So she lost her family for awhile but parents usually come around when grandchildren arrive. And thankfully they did. Although they’re not pasing any dosh her way just yet.

She has stuck by her man through thick and thin. She is still with him today. I suspect she will be with him till the very end. That’s dedication and true love that I’ve observed. I couldn’t have done it myself.
