Tee’s Party Packs

This is what I was busy with last week.

Although I wasn’t planning a party for Tee this year, she actually requested for one as the date approached. This was 2 weeks after we arrived back from Oz so I freaked out. How was I going to organise a house party (which was all I wanted to do really, for once) in 2 weeks? Considering that the 2 weeks leading up to her birthday was already quite busy with external matters to settle, like the selling of our house etc.

Thankfully, someone suggested Kidzsport in Great Eastern Mall since it was new and small and hassle free. Perfect. Tee herself said she had wanted her birthday to be at Kidzsport although we’ve never been to a Kidzsport party before but I initially rejected the idea because I didn’t want to spend any money. *sigh* I suggested a party in the park but the girl got her way in the end. I ended up not paying for the party so there was no excuse not to give it to her.

It was an excellent party with some playschool friends. She thoroughly enjoyed herself and then more when we got home and she got to rummage through all her presents. No nap for sure!

The party packs were fun to do with the Hubs cutting out every single teddy bear card, Tee enjoyed colouring it and I organised everything else. She loved the process which I thought was the most important thing. Each party pack consisted of bubble solution, an assortment of toys and something useful, like a colourful clothes hook or a crayon set etc. This was then inserted into the Kidzsport party pack which comprised a notebook, colour pencils in cylindrical casing with attached sharpener, an activity book, a packet of popcorn and a packet of teddy bear biscuits. No sweets, chocolate or candy. I liked that. Food served by Kidzsport included baked fries (which I’d insisted), fruit salad and a mini chicken pie. There was also an excellent comedian called Uncle Ravi who entertained the kids and their parents, who laughed till they looked like they were having stitches, and party games organised by Kidzsport. The whole event took 2 hours. Short and sweet.

At this rate, I think Tee will be having paid birthday parties till she’s 18. I’m wondering when I can finally organise my little home party…..:-(  One day. One day…….maybe when we actually have a house!

  1. It was a nice party!
My son had so much fun that we had to drag him out of Kidzsports.
How come you didn’t have to pay for it? Your mum did?
Oh, and the pop corn was very good!

  2. Yeah, me too want to know how to get a free party? The party packs look nice and I like what you have put inside – no candy and junk food. Tee looks lovely in that birthday dress – be it samseng or not. Love the shoes, sooo cute.
Also want to know how you get DH to cut out teddy bears??? Heheheh.

  3. Oh gosh! I am so late! Happy to know that Tee had a great party though. 🙂

I decided to take a break from cooking lunch today. So I’ll just wait for the girls to come home and bring them out for a junkfood lunch at McD. Now that I have some time in my hand to catch up on blogs…

We bring the kids to Kidzone at Hartamas almost every weekend. They frequently have birthday parties there too. Sorry, I don’t even know what I wanted to say. Gah! ANYWAY… Happy belated birthday sweet little Tee!! 🙂
