Last week, we went to Nana’s for some home made beef burgers made from scratch. Tee said she wanted to make the burger patties and I told her she could make her own but I wanted Nana to make mine. She gave me a smug look while nodding her head and said, “Mine could taste VERY nice…..mine could taste even BETTER than Nana’s…..” all this while nodding that Indian head of hers.

She ended up conning Nana into allowing her to make ALL our burger patties, God save us!!

I sure hope the person who was supervising this project (and it wasn’t me!) made her wash her hands thoroughly before starting because if they didn’t know any better, Tee’s fingers have a tendency to travel up her nostrils because………..how shall I put it? She has a passion for gold?

The outcome? Very densely packed burger patties!!! No quality control, burgers of various circumferences and thicknesses. What to do? We were forced to eat them!

Nana even made star shaped eggs for our burgers…..you could hardly tell since they were inside the buns so I’m not sure why she bothered, haha….

The result?

Together with real bacon, a mixture of raw and grilled onions, gherkins, lettuce,  chilli sauce and some awesome homemade potato wedges……it was as good as good ol’ Ramly!! Well……if you could get past thoughts of Tee’s boogers mashed in with the mince.
