The Hubs says that my 2 girls are exactly like me, needing oodles and oozles of attention. I beg to differ. I certainly GET a lot of attention but I really do not NEED it. The fact that I do not go out to socialise nor stay in touch with many of my friends and pretty much do nothing with my life except take care of my 2 girls and open up the PC from home is testament that I do not require much attention.

Tok-Tok says that Tee is exactly like me when I was her age, always doing things so that people would NOTICE me. I really can’t remember but I can’t imagine it at all because really, I hate attention. Give me a look and I’ll run. Put my name on the cover and I’ll deny it’s mine. I’d much rather have money without the fame, really…..

T2 is another attention seeker who has already learnt the art of whinging. Whinging at the slightest wet nappy, screaming if it’s a poo, whinging if nobody’s paying her any attention whilst she lies in her playpen, whinging if she needs a change of scenery, whinging when she wants to be picked up for a walk……..gosh, Tee was just as demanding. But in a very different way.

At almost 5 years old STILL,Tee demands a lot of attention. Despite the fact that there are 2 other adults who will gladly entertain her, she wants only MY attention sometimes. Like yesterday, she went over to her friend’s house all day from 10am to 6pm, had a whole day of activities including her favourite past time, swimming, yet when she returned home, she wanted Mommy to play jigsaw puzzles with her. I thought the whole point sending her out to play was so she would be entertained and happy, come home tired and go straight to bed. But no. I had to watch her do TWO 100 piece jigsaw puzzles which took an hour and a half of my time. Oh well…..

Here is Tee attracting some attention in public in front of Petrosains in KLCC. She was holding onto the hands of two adults and swinging herself off the floor to and fro, singing away. And she certainly got it. I wonder how long this thirst for attention will last…..
