Lessons my Mom taught me – Part 19 of 23

When you have no one to turn to, turn to GOD

Mom sent me this message whilst I was having a nervous breakdown at University because the collapse of my parents divorce triggered a series of shocking, buried memories of childhood traumas that I didn’t even know existed.

Mom was ahead of her time in more ways than we know but she didn’t even know it herself then. Unconscious bias.

These are the moments in life when no one gets it and no one shows up in the way that you need.

I was extremely lucky.

I had a wonderful boyfriend and some true friends.

I pulled through.

Fast forward to adulthood, one day, I looked around and realised that :

I was always the STRONG ONE

I was always THE GIVER

I did SO MUCH for everyone else

Sacrificing me and my own family…..

I became INVINCIBLE

I was sinking and people were only around for the money, the popularity, the potentiality of what I could give THEM, what I could help them with, FOR FREE.

I decided to research religions again and on my spiritual path, I realised I never left GOD and GOD never left me either.

I walked to GOD to ask why people were so ….. $#%€¥ ?

I surrendered (and got a lot of backlash #frompeopleofcourse)

The GOD of my understanding does not RULE you nor hit you with FEARS.

The GOD of my understanding is SOURCE.

The GOD of my understanding is THE CREATOR and goes by many names, from many different people.

He, She or It is the GOD that keeps me alive.

TRULY ALIVE (what it means to feel alive in previous post Part 18)

And filled STILLLL with SO MUCH LOVE to give.

My GOD whispers to my soul in the quiet.

I am never alone.

And I am always held.
