Sometimes, people will let you down.

(Oh, don’t I know it!!)

Plans fall apart.

(After planning a fantastic Christmas Party as Mom always does, Tessa decides to get hospitalised. My heart was crushed. Totally disappointed!! So guess what happened? The party got moved to the hospital on a much smaller scale…. We could have just missed Christmas that year, but NOPE. Mom insisted we will just have Christmas at the hospital with her favourite and only grandchild that one time)

People ghost you without mention.

(That’s on them)

Loved ones forget about you.

(That is ALSO on them)

You show up fully…… and it is not received.

(Again, it is on THEM)

It hurts.

Of course, it does.

But disappointments are a part of LIFE.

It’s a sign we are LIVING!!!

TRULY ALIVE!!!

It is a part of being AWAKE.

People who care deeply will get disappointed but it only shows the quality of the care.

We believe in good things and refuse to be cold to switch off the pain switch, to stop FEELING….(as most would do).

Pain can be beautiful.

Embrace it.

It means you are truly alive…

If you are suffering rejection, disappointment, blahness….

Grieve.

Feel it.

Don’t bypass it.

Don’t try to suppress it.

Don’t hide it under the sheets.

But don’t stop there either!!

You won’t be disappointed daily.

And you won’t feel pain daily either.

Disappointment means you’re still in the game, Honey.

You’re still available for BIG LOVE……

For MAGIC……

For MIRACLES……

And they are always available for US
