Last weekend, we attended my maid of honour’s son’s birthday party in Klang. It was a great party because there were only 5 kids, of which 2 were babies. YAY!!! Yet it was a fancy dress party so Tee went as a police officer.I tried convincing her to go as something more feminine like a mermaid or a ladybug or even a princess! But no.

So my little Sergeant Tee, who loved handcuffing people and blowing whistles marched in and had such a thrill being the law enforcer of the day. The other two boys dressed up as Michael Schumacher, a Ferrari race car driver (man, his costume was padded!!!) and a fire man with a fire extinguisher, fireman’s hat, the works. The little baby was Santa Claus (too cute!) and the other, Minnie Mouse in the red and white polka dot dress.

I’m telling you, this girl, just loves playing with the boys. She isn’t so interested in the fairy stuff, more cars and guns and rough play. In fact, just today, she came home with bruises and scratches from school and I asked her how she got them. She said there were some rough boys at school. So I shrieked out in my alarmed voice to stay away from those rough boys!!! But she defended them and insisted that she liked playing rough. Oh dear…..

At the rate she is going, she will probably be interested in real life Mission Impossible or Combat gear by the time she is a teenager. I can just see it, Tee, all decked up in her army outfit carrying her 5.11 Tactical Knife and gadgets (walkie-talkie, whistle, gun, torchlight, baton, Swiss army knife, handcuffs and grenade) all in place.

Oh well, I guess it’s better than having a wimp princess who yelps at every little touch. Hahaha….
