Tee and her father, they have this wonderful relationship which is completely separate from mine with her. I am the mother. I shower her with love and attention, abundantly. I shower her with scoldings and naggings, just as opulently. But when push comes to shove, it is always, always the mother that children come back to. My lady gynae told me that. Children will always look for their mothers. Period.

Daddy, however……is the educator, her play mate, the man who takes her on excursions like trips to the bicycle shop or to the tyre shop, even the rocket shop or swimming etc etc etc. Daddy teaches her how stuff work. Daddy builds things with her. Daddy enriches her life with all the things Mommy would never do. Tee is one lucky girl with such a great Dad.

This is Tee at a tyre shop. She knows how tyre punctures are fixed and how tyres are patched and how tyres are installed and removed from their hub caps. She knows a whole lot more than me!

And this is Tee taking notes, because she intends to be a Doctor one day. Hence, it is very important to start at the tyre shop.
